Salimos muy temprano rumbo a nuestro destino y, aunque el cielo se mostraba nublado y amenazaba con un poco de lluvia, la naturaleza nos tenía una sorpresa hermosa: en medio del camino apareció un arcoíris brillante que iluminó el paisaje y nos dio la mejor bienvenida a la costa.
Adentrándonos en el Refugio de Fauna Silvestre Cuare y la Cueva del Indio
Continuamos la travesía adentrándonos en los hermosos canales. Desde la lancha pudimos apreciar imponentes formaciones rocosas cubiertas de verde vegetación, que forman parte del impresionante paisaje del Refugio de Fauna Silvestre Cuare.
Al llegar a la zona de la Cueva del Indio, el paisaje cambia por completo. Al mirar hacia arriba desde el interior de la caverna, la sensación es mágica: el cielo azul y los árboles se enmarcan en las alturas, mientras los rayos del sol se filtran creando destellos entre las hojas.
Recorriendo este santuario natural, nos encontramos con un recordatorio esencial sobre el respeto a nuestro pasado. Un letrero de madera entre las raíces nos marca normas claras: "Prohibido tocar los petroglifos" y "Prohibido tallar las piedras". Una vez en marcha, el recorrido en bote nos regaló postales hermosas de los canales rodeados por murallas de piedra y manglares, con otras lanchas disfrutando del paseo a nuestro lado.¡A toda velocidad sobre las olas!
La adrenalina subió cuando nos alejamos y la lancha aceleró en mar abierto. Sentir la brisa marina en la cara y ver cómo la embarcación cortaba el agua es una de las sensaciones más liberadoras que existen. ¡El momento perfecto quedó capturado cuando el agua salpicaba con fuerza creando una estela de espuma blanca sobre el azul profundo!

Upon reaching the area of the Cueva del Indio (Indian Cave), the scenery changes completely. Looking up from inside the cavern creates a magical feeling: the blue sky and trees are framed overhead, while sunbeams filter through, creating shimmering light among the leaves.
While exploring this natural sanctuary, we encountered an essential reminder about respecting our past. A wooden sign nestled among the roots displayed clear rules: "Do not touch the petroglyphs" and "Do not carve the stones." Preserving these archaeological treasures is a task for everyone so that history endures.
Heading to the sea: Ready at the dockAfter connecting with the history and tranquility of the land, it was time to change the pace and seek out the warmth of the sun! We headed to the dock to catch a boat. The dock was bustling with life, with dozens of colorful boats ready and waiting to set sail for the cays.
Once underway, the boat ride treated us to beautiful views of channels lined with stone walls and mangroves, with other boats enjoying the trip alongside us.
Full speed ahead over the waves!
The adrenaline kicked in as we headed out and the boat picked up speed in open water. Feeling the sea breeze on your face and watching the boat cut through the water is one of the most liberating sensations there is. We captured the perfect moment as the water splashed vigorously, creating a trail of white foam against the deep blue!
Without a doubt, Falcón possesses that unique magic of offering everything in a single trip: the tranquility of its caves and history, and the unmatched joy of its tropical waters—truly an unforgettable memory in one of the many beautiful places my country has to offer.
