Encuentra tu luz, segundo a segundo.
My Monday Morning Sunrise: My Motivational Monday
Today, Monday, October 12th—the second Monday of the month—and this day alone gives me a reason to be grateful. I am thankful for that and so much more: because I made it, because I am here, and because I breathe. I thank the universe and my quantum life for everything—for my home, my daughters, and my wife, and of course, for my family, relatives, and friends.
Not everything is a bed of roses. That’s what I heard my grandmother say many years ago when she meant that things aren't as easy as one might think. Well, she used that phrase and that color, and even though today is my usual Monday morning and my motivational Monday to boot, today I feel exactly like that saying. Not everything is a bed of roses. Today I woke up with a terrible flu; since the early hours of the morning, I've had severe body aches, lots of chills, and a sore throat to the point where I can't even speak because of the pain. I thought for a moment that I was immune to this flu, or whatever you want to call this malaise.
First, my wife got it, then my oldest daughter, and then my youngest. I was still going strong without any symptoms. Days went by after that, and boom—I caught it too. So I’m not immune at all; it got me as well. And you might say, 'Okay, what does this have to do with your usual Monday morning and your motivational Monday?' It actually has everything to do with it.
It’s true, I honestly don’t feel well, but this can’t completely knock me down. So despite my illness, I still did my routine chores. My body is aching, but my mind is very sharp and awake, telling myself that I can’t let this bring me down. I have to stand up and keep going; I need to shake it all off, and to do that, I have to get up and not let this body ache defeat me.
Today the morning started cloudy, but there are beautiful clouds scattered across the sky, and the sun—the great master sun—is right behind them, finding a way to break through despite the clouds. That’s how I am: despite feeling sick, I keep moving forward and overcoming this. I know it will pass; I just need to rest, follow the treatment prescribed by the doctor, and take one or two of those natural remedies that grandma always recommends.
For you who are reading this, I only wish that the universe multiplies health and blessings into every step you take this motivational Monday.
As the saying goes… The sun waits for no one. But it always rises for everyone.
So I get up, take this photo of the sky that never gives up, and write to remind myself that I am still here. And as long as I am here, there is a path ahead.
Just dedicate yourself to being happy. Find your light, second by second.
