As much as I hate going to the hospital, I have to be there today. And honestly, I don't even know how long I will be there or what today is going to bring.
My sister's baby is just one year old and he has been diagnosed with adenoid enlargement. It has been really difficult for him to breathe properly, and because of this, eating has also become a big problem for him.
This little boy has lost so much weight. Sometimes when I look at him, I find it hard to believe that he is already a year old because he looks so tiny, almost like a three-month-old baby. He has mostly been depending on breast milk because eating other foods has been very difficult for him.
It is painful to watch a baby go through this.
This is already our third time coming to the hospital because of this issue, and according to the report, there is a possibility that he may need emergency surgery.
Honestly, hearing that scared me.
When a child is sick, I think the mother suffers the most. There is something about watching your own child struggle and not being able to fix it yourself. You can hold them, comfort them, pray for them and stay by their side, but deep down, you still wish you could take the sickness away from them.
I know my sister must be going through a lot right now, but she's stronger than she looks. As a mother, it can't be easy watching your baby struggle to breathe and eat. And as family, all we can really do is stand by her, pray and hope that everything turns out well.
I don't know what today will look like. I don't know if he will have the surgery or if the doctors will decide on another treatment. I just want everything to go well.
I want to see this little boy healthy again. I want to see him eat properly, sleep peacefully, breathe without struggling and start growing like every other child his age.
For now, I am just praying and trying not to think too far ahead. I pray that God will guide the doctors and everyone taking care of him. And if the surgery has to happen, I pray that it will be successful and that there will be no complications.
God, please let us leave this hospital with good news. That is all I am asking for today.
Thank for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
