Words We Say When We Are Angry h

Sometimes I wonder why we say the things we say when we are angry. You can love someone deeply, care about them, stand by them through so many things, and still, in one moment of anger, say something that hurts them deeply.

And the sad part is that sometimes, we don't even mean what we say.

When we are angry, we don't always think before we speak. We just want to express how hurt or frustrated we feel. Sometimes we want the other person to feel the same pain we are feeling. So we say things we know will hurt them.

We bring up things from the past. We remind them of their mistakes, We say things about their character. Sometimes we even question whether they ever loved us in the first place.

Then later, when everything has calmed down, we start thinking about what we said.

And that is when the regret comes. "Why did I say that?". "I didn't really mean it." "I was just angry." "I wish I could take those words back." But the truth is, we can't.

We can say sorry. We can explain that we were angry. We can tell the person that we didn't mean those things. And maybe they will forgive us. But sorry doesn't make the words disappear, the person already heard them.

They may even keep thinking about them long after the argument is over. Sometimes, one sentence said in anger can stay in someone's mind for years.

That is what makes words so powerful.

You can apologize for hurting someone's feelings, but you cannot go back in time and stop yourself from saying what you said.

This is something I think we all need to learn, especially when it comes to the people closest to us. Because the people we love are usually the people we can hurt the most.

They know our weaknesses. They know the things we are insecure about. They know the parts of us that we don't show everyone else. And when we are angry, it's very easy to use those things against them.

But just because we are angry doesn't mean we have to be cruel. Sometimes it is better to stop talking, take a walk, stay quiet for a while, give yourself time to calm down.

There is nothing wrong with saying, "I'm too angry to talk about this right now. Let's talk when I've calmed down." That small decision can save you from saying something you will spend days, months, or even years regretting.

And I'm not saying people should never argue. Arguments are normal in relationships. People will disagree, people will get frustrated with each other, sometimes we will misunderstand each other.

But there is a difference between expressing your anger and deliberately trying to destroy someone with your words. We need to learn that difference.

If you have hurt someone with your words, say sorry. But don't stop there. Try to change the way you handle anger, try to listen, try to walk away before things get worse, try to remember that the person standing in front of you is someone you love, not someone you have to defeat.

Because at the end of the argument, there shouldn't be a winner and a loser. There should be two people who still care enough to find their way back to each other.

We all make mistakes, we all lose our temper sometimes. We all say things we wish we could take back. But maybe the next time anger takes over, we can pause for a moment.

Let think before we speak, because once the words leave our mouths, they belong to the person who heard them. And no matter how many times we say "I'm sorry," we can't make them unheard.

Thank for checking on my post and have a wonderful day

  • It is tough to regulate emotions sometimes and if we are saying things out of anger that we did not mean then that is an emotional issue that can be fixed through self reflection or maybe some therapy.

You are right if you say something out of anger, sorry does not cut it.

To be honest and will, anything i say out of anger i mean, it is not just to hurt someones feelings it is what i think and feel.

I always think before i speak but did the other person?

I mean what i say it is that simple always for me no need to say i am sorry, i am probably not, right or wrong that is how it is.
