Saludos y bendiciones, mis queridos amigos de @motherhood, un gusto visitarlos en este día; espero que sea de mucho provecho y que todos se encuentren bien en sus hogares. Por aquí, gracias a Dios, todo bien.
Aunque mis niñas están de vacaciones, han estado activas en sus actividades deportivas, así que no ha habido mucho descanso. En estos días pido mis vacaciones en el trabajo, pero la faena continúa con los entrenamientos. Me parece bien, así no estamos solo en casa.
Pero el día de hoy no les vengo a hablar sobre mi vida como mamá, sino como hija, y es que ya extraño a mi mamá, aunque apenas lleva una semana que salió de viaje.
Soy muy apegada a mi querida madre y son pocas las veces que nos hemos separado por algún tiempo y ha sido por algún viaje como este. Hace días se fue al hermano país Brasil; fue acudiendo al llamado de mi hermana que tiene más de 8 años por allá.
El día antes de irse, cuando estaba alistando sus maletas, estábamos todos reunidos en casa. Ella no quería mucha foto, porque ya estaba cansada del día que había sido ajetreado.
Mi hija mayor estaba haciendo unos videos con mi teléfono y aprovechamos para hacer este pequeño video para despedirla; lo que más queremos es que le vaya bien y que regrese pronto. Por aquí está ella con mi hermana, sus nietos y yo.
En las fotos también están mi hermano, mi esposo, mi cuñada y otros de sus nietos; faltaron Asley y Xavier y, por supuesto, los que iban a ir a visitar.
Ella primero se fue a Maturín, en donde se iba a encontrar con su papá, que también se iría de paseo con ella para Brasil; por allá se despidieron de mis tías y otros familiares.
El viaje, gracias a Dios, no fue tan largo. Salieron en un carro expreso a las 2:30 am desde casa de mi tía en Maturín hasta Santa Elena en el estado Bolívar y luego otro carro hasta Boa Vista, donde vive mi hermana, a las 11:30 pm.
Aunque fue cansado, llegaron con bien y sin mayores contratiempos en el viaje. Mi mamá no había ido por el miedo al viaje y sus achaques, pero gracias a Dios todo salió bien.
Mi hermana los estaba esperando con algunos regalos y con muchos abrazos y besos que no se habían dado durante tanto tiempo. Estaban felices de recibirlos en casa.
Gracias a Dios todo ha salido muy bien y los han tratado con muchas atenciones y cariño. Mi hermana está contenta, así como mi cuñado y, más que todo, mis sobrinos bellos, que están pegados con ellos.
Aunque extraño a mi madre, me siento muy contenta de que se dé estas pequeñas vacaciones, que descanse de los gajes del oficio del día a día y de ir al mercado con tanto ajetreo. Me dice que ya está hasta aclarando la piel, jejeje. Ella es blanca; el sol diario es que la tiene colorada.
Espero que disfrute mucho por allá, que descanse, que salga a pasear, que haga sus diligencias pendientes y se pueda ver con los médicos.
Dios quiera que para noviembre, para su cumpleaños, la tengamos aquí de vuelta; serán muchos días, todo sea por su bien y para que mi hermana y mis sobrinos puedan disfrutarla.
Saying Goodbye to My Mom as She Heads to Brazil
Greetings and blessings, my dear friends at @motherhood—it’s a pleasure to visit you today. I hope you find this post helpful and that everyone is doing well at home. Over here, thank God, everything’s fine.
Even though my girls are on vacation, they’ve been busy with their sports activities, so there hasn’t been much rest. I’m taking some time off from work these days, but the training sessions keep me busy. That’s fine by me—at least we’re not just sitting around at home.
But today I’m not here to talk about my life as a mom, but as a daughter—and the truth is, I already miss my mom, even though she’s only been gone for a week.
I’m very close to my dear mother, and there have been very few times we’ve been apart for any length of time—and those were for trips like this one. A few days ago, she left for Brazil; she went to visit my sister, who’s been living there for over eight years.
The day before she left, while she was packing her bags, we were all gathered at home. She didn’t want to take many photos because she was already tired from what had been a hectic day.
My oldest daughter was recording some videos with my phone, so we took the opportunity to make this short video to say goodbye to her; what we want most is for her to have a good trip and come back soon. Here she is with my sister, her grandchildren, and me.
Also in the photos are my brother, my husband, my sister-in-law, and some of her other grandchildren; Asley and Xavier weren’t there, and, of course, the ones who were going to visit her.
She first went to Maturín, where she was going to meet up with her dad, who was also going on a trip with her to Brazil; there, they said goodbye to my aunts and other relatives.
Thank God, the trip wasn’t too long. They left at 2:30 a.m. on an express bus from my aunt’s house in Maturín to Santa Elena in Bolívar state, and then took another bus to Boa Vista—where my sister lives—arriving at 11:30 p.m.
Although it was tiring, they arrived safely and without any major setbacks along the way. My mom hadn’t gone because she was afraid of the trip and worried about her health issues, but thank God everything turned out well.
My sister was waiting for them with some gifts and lots of hugs and kisses they hadn’t shared in such a long time. They were happy to have them home.
Thank God everything has gone very well, and they’ve been treated with great care and affection. My sister is happy, as is my brother-in-law, and most of all, my lovely nieces and nephews, who are glued to them.
Although I miss my mother, I’m very happy that she’s taking this little vacation, that she’s getting a break from the daily grind and from going to the market with all the hustle and bustle. She tells me her skin is even getting lighter, hehehe. She has fair skin; it’s just the daily sun that makes her look a little flushed.
I hope she enjoys herself there, gets some rest, goes out for walks, takes care of her pending errands, and is able to see her doctors.
God willing, by November—for her birthday—we’ll have her back here; it’ll be a long wait, but it’s all for her own good and so that my sister and my nieces and nephews can enjoy her company.
