After finishing The last kingdom i was so excited to watch it's last part which was it's final movie, as the movie gave it a final touch. Although the final season of the series was great but still it needs to be ended because of Alfred's dream of one unified kingdom.
From seven kingdoms to one unified kingdom!!!
Alfred who was the king of Wessex had a dream of one unified kingdom as he wanted to make the England as a one country where all Saxon's and Pegans can live together but he wants to imply the christian law in his Land which was difficulty because people don't compromise on their God.
After the death of Alfred, Alfred son make the King who ruled over the Wessex and Mercia both because he won the Mercia after death of Lady Aethelflead. But the movie show's a story after the death of Alfred's son. I can't believe that they showed the journey after so many year's but still Uhtred and his friends were there in story and all other characters were changed.
Uhtred never married to another women after Giesla but Uhtred friends married and they've kids too. The story start when Finan wife give a prophecy as a seer that seven kings must die and the Lady who Finan love also died. Finan told Uhtred not to believe in the prophecy but Uhtred thinks it's interesting as this lead to future.
Edward first son was in the influence of a boy who was a Christian and now he believes in him but that boy deceived him and he even doesn't know it. Edward bastard son also killed his own brother because he wants to rule while his younger son make a escape.
There was a twist in the story when Edward son turned against into Uhtred and his friends and He wants to killed Uhtred but as Uhtred just like a father to him so he spare Uhtred life but banished him from the country and Uhtred wondering on the land where he reach to other those five king's who makes a strategy to fight as Uhtred told them about prophecy but they didn't believe so they think if they died then they've son to rule after them.
One last battle!!!
This last battle was so interacting to watch as this is war between Edward first son and im between all those five king's. Uhtred was there to support Edwards son as he wants to turn Alfred dream into real. It was a hard battle but all those kings son died in the battle and so they've nothing to fight and they leave the battlefield.
Uhtred lives to see Alfred dream!!! After the battle, Edward first son become the king of whole England and united it as a one. The prophecy was also right because those five king's and Alfred was the six king who died. Uhtred was the Seven king who was the king of Bebbenburg but he never took this honour to call as a king. Uhtred show very sick at the last but still he lives.
Uhtred took a promise from the Edwards son that he will not get married and not make more son who will not fight with each other in future for the throne and so there will no bloodshed in the future 🙂
Final thoughts!!!
I really like how they end the story, how they describe some parts of the book at the end and how they seems us it's a history of England becoming a one kingdom. The story doesn't only about war's and thrones but the story was about respect, support and love to each other especially the boy who was a kid become a prisoner has a great ambition and purpose called Uhtred of Bebbenburg.
Bebbenburg is still there as director show us the today's Bebbenburg too which looks quite beautiful.
