Hello everyone!!!
I hope so you all are doing well 😀
Although I watched game's of Thrones back ago in 2021 but i was greatly inspiring by the story of Denaeryees Targaryen and I want to watch something related to Targeryan dinesty and History. And this year I gotta chance to watch The House of dragon. Story of The house of dragon shows almost 200 year's ago then the story of Games of thrones.
A short historical overview
There's no close relationship between Denaeryees Targaryen and Targeryan family of the house of dragon because the time difference of 200 year's but House of dragon family was the ancestors of Denaeryees Targaryen. I told about Denaeryees Targaryen because many people watched Games of thrones but a few watched House of dragon and to make clear things about Targeryan history i explained it at first.
The Queen who Never was!!!
King Jhaehaerys have two grand children's, one was king Viserys and other was queen Rhaenys. After the death of King Jhaehaerys, people have to decide who'll rule and they didn't choose a queen for the crown but they choose Viserys as their king. As the son hold the bloodline so they choose son to hold over the crown. After a certain time Queen Rhaenys married to Lord Corlys of House Velaeriyan who was known as the sea snake.
After this marriage, Allies were stronger between Targeryan and House Velaeriyan and both are Helping each other. Queen Rhaenys have a son to further hold the bloodline but the king Viserys have no son to further hold the bloodline of King as king Viserys wife died when she was giving a birth to a son and so His daughter princess Rhaenyra which was his only child at that time lost her mother.
King Viserys make a change in history that he announced that after his Death his daughter will become a queen and rule over here on Targeryan. But king Viserys married to Alicent who gave birth to son and so there conflict started with this and the story of House of dragon further proceed mainly noticed by Queen Alicent and princess Rhaenyra.
Once best friends become worst enemies!!!
Sometimes fate bring you at the points which you never think. When Princess Rhaenyra was a kid, both princess Rhaenyra and Alicent were best friends. Although there are some talks which Princess Rhaenyra can't share to her father after the death of her mother but she share it with Queen Alicent because she trust her the most. But in future their destiny has some other plans of rivalry for them.
When Alicent married to her Dad king Viserys, Alicent gave birth to son and give son to king Viserys and now she demands that instead of Princess Rhaenyra her son who are true Heir's to the king and son of the king Viserys sit on the iron throne. While King Viserys announced princess Rhaenyra for the iron throne. And so a main rivalry occur between them.
Women's are to produce Heirs!!
Although still women have duty to produce Heirs for the families but at that time in historical period of Targeryan and Velaeriyan, only purpose of women's was to produce Heirs and especially if you're a royal women like princess or queen then it's your hardest duty to give king to Heirs to rule after the king. So, i see the women's position for producing Heirs are mainly focus in the series. Princess Rhaenyra was never want to get married but she was forced to choose a husband because she'll hold iron throne and she needs Heirs to carry the throne after her death.
Strong Ally between Targeryan and Velaeriyan!!!
Although the alliance between both house's were good but they make it more strong by the married of each other children's. King Viserys daughter princess Rhaenyra were married to her cousin Lord Laenor who was son of king Viserys cousin and so the family hold the strong relationship and bond.
House of Targeryan were fire, while the House of Velaeriyan were sea but both have good relationship.
Strong cinematography of dragon!!!
As you know Targeryan are famous because of their dragons and dragon rides. As their each kid has his own dragon. When a baby about to born they hatch a egg of their name and when kid reach to a certain age, they trained kid with the dragon rides and control on the dragons. And so that dragons cinematic views make it more enjoyable especially when you love to watch dragons.
What I like the most!!!
I like the mostly that each episode is very fast, after a episode many years of their life has passed and new chapter arises in each episode and in this case you'll cover a lot of chapter's of Targeryan and Velaeriyan History.
Final thoughts!!!
I'm really enjoying the series, although i just finished season 1 but believe me if you really love to watch history and dragon then go for it. Although at first it's hard to memorize and understand name but uf you're historian then it's easy for you to understand the story. For me i always like difficult thing's lol.
That's all for today and Thank you for your time and support 🙏
