Hello everyone!!!
I hope so you all are doing well 😀
When the first time my friend recommended me to watch the Stranger things and i watched the trailer which feels horror and i was like i can't watch it but then i finally finished the stranger things. Now that same friend asked me to watch The Boroughs and as I'm the fan of stranger things so i would obviously like The Boroughs.
The Boroughs!!!
The Boroughs is actually just like stranger things but in stranger things kids solve the mystery with unity while in The Boroughs older people solve the mystery. This means we shouldn't underestimate the power of older people as they could great things too.
What I like the most!!
The Boroughs is a place for old people where people send their grandparents to old house because they don't have time for protection and care of their grandparents and The Boroughs is just like the old age home. They sent here their grandparents to spend a valuable time or last year's of their life peacefully but when Sam Cooper come to The Boroughs he noticed things and he started to solve a mystery with his friends or neighbors.
They are all old people, at one time you maybe feel boring too because maybe you're like ahhh now I've to watch oldies but when you started to watch it you feel like wow oldies could do great things too. It doesn't mean they're old now and now they're not of use so let's send them to old home. Although they're old but they've life experiences and fears.
Director shows a great strength of the old people but i also heard that Netflix cancel it's 2nd season because of too much cost or other reasons. But I want to see their strength more in next season. 🥺
Story plot and characters!
Story started when Sam Cooper, role Played by Alfred Molina shifted in The Boroughs, he doesn't want to move here but his daughter and daughter-in-law forcefully send him to here. He wasn't eager to come here so he started to observe thing's. As his wife died six months ago and he was having nightmares and sometimes old memories lost his mind in day. His wife come into his memories and he feel fear.
Then the story make a U-turn when her neighbor Jack and this role Played by Bill Pullman was trying to maintain a good friendship with him and arrange a party and then a Monster attacked him and he died and Sam saw all this. Now Sam knows what he saw but faculty doesn't know about it.
Then story further continue when Renee this character played by Geena Davis noticed her misplaced thing's and she wanted to reported it but police doesn't work on it. But a new officer help her and they put camera in Renee house and the movement of Monster recorded too in the camera and so she has to case her theft case with a police officer.
The one last character Walley Played by Danis was my favorite character among all above character because he's a retired doctor and now he has cancer stage 4. He helped more in scientific way as in biology to get the fluid from mouth and studied it. Because the Monster feed them at night through mouth and so he studies about it and then further solve the case with his friends.
About Monster part!
When I know about the Monster story I feel sad for monster because faculty of The Boroughs feeds on Monster blood to have a never ending life. But they killed old people by feed the monster as you know oldies are already close to death so people doesn't raise question about the death and normal people pay for their never ending life.
Humanity still Alive!!
Another part which was the last and shows that humanity is still alive. The most great character walley has cancer and he knows that he could cure the cancer and live a life by drinking Monster blood but Wally choose humanity over his health and cancer and so help the Monster. I really like the walley character in the series' because he gives a great lesson.
Final thoughts!!
I will recommend it to you if you like to watch mystery and you want to watch something different then you should watch it. I already highlights main thing's which i like but there's nothing which i dislike about the series. But yeah at first it's slow but then you'll have curiosity to solve the mystery.
That's all for today and Thank you for your time and support
