ENGLISH VERSION | Real Madrid won and is already looking ahead to El Clásico
The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium hosted an exciting encounter this Sunday, in which Real Madrid secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Sevilla FC during the ninth matchday of LaLiga EA Sports.
The Blancos dominated much of the match, controlling possession and demonstrating clinical finishing in the opposition's penalty area—securing three crucial points that reinforce their title aspirations.
Real Madrid took control of the scoring in the first half. Arda Güler opened the account in the 30th minute, finishing a pass from Yan Diomandé with a first-time strike, and Kylian Mbappé extended the lead in the 37th minute. In the second half, Mbappé converted a penalty in the 63rd minute to complete his brace.
Sevilla managed to pull one back in the 80th minute through Manu Bueno, but their joy was short-lived; Yan Diomandé rounded off the scoring for Real Madrid, sealing the final 4-1 result in the 82nd minute. A moment of officiating controversy arose around the 22nd minute, involving Arda Güler and Gerard Fernández, known as "Peque."
Following a challenge for the ball, the Sevilla player went down on the pitch in pain, alleging he had been struck—prompting the Sevilla squad to surround referee Mateo Busquets Ferrer and demand that the Turkish player be sent off. The incident was reviewed quietly by the VAR, with no on-field monitor review required; the ensuing scuffle resulted only in yellow cards for Dean Huijsen and Félix Correia.
The atmosphere in the stands also drew attention, due to a striking protest staged by the home fans in the fondo sur (south stand). The "La Grada Fans" group unfurled a massive banner bearing the slogan: "It’s not football; it’s Tebas and Negreira" (with the words highlighted in the azulgrana—blue and garnet—colors of FC Barcelona). This was accompanied by persistent chants of "Tebas, get out!" and calls for the LaLiga president to resign.
The demonstration comes amid an exchange of official statements and heightened tension between the club from Chamartín—Real Madrid—and the league governing body.
