Hello Splinterlands warriors. My blog this time is an entry to @takeru255 contest. It's about Khan Feywest.
This story is inspired by @henruc and @ineyashami story from previous rounds.
It's a continuation of my story in the fourth round.
The group finally left the grove, following the narrow trail between the trees.
Their search for Culebro continued.
Jolius Blast (@iblast) was busy using a polished piece of metal to check his reflection.
“Does my hair look all right?” he asked.
Buns the Unseen (@bunsbagsandcaps) said. “We have been walking for only twenty minutes.”
“Exactly,” Jolius replied. “Twenty minutes of wind, dust and potential hair damage.”
Buns shook his head and returned to the important task of inspecting his spear. He rubbed his fingers along the shaft, checked the tip, polished it with a cloth, then held it up toward the sunlight.
“Your spear has been polished three times already,” Ember Roast Sow said.
“Four times,” Buns corrected.
Ember rolled her eyes and rubbed one of her tusks.
Jolius noticed.
“You're polishing your tusks again?”
“Dentist's orders,” Ember said proudly.
“You criticize me for caring about my hair!”
“My tusks are weapons.”
“So is my hair.”
Buns stared at him.
“Your hair is not a weapon.”
“My hair distracts the enemy.”
Everyone laughed.
They continued down the trail, each member busy with their own thoughts.
After a while, Buns said.
“Speaking of strange creatures, have you heard about Khan Feywest?" (@ehmaywuntee)
Jolius asked. "Who? The half chimp, half unicorn?”
Khan Feywest is a remarkable Fey creature of striking contrast. His upper body is that of a brilliant and witty chimpanzee that transitions into the powerful hindquarters of a magical unicorn.
Khan does not fight with his fists, he is a master of pure sorcery. Perched on his powerful hind legs and wielding an ancient crystal staff, he summons volatile blasts of shimmering Fey energy that devastate his foes from afar. These arcane projectiles crackle with an iridescent hue and leave a trail of stardust in their wake.
It is well known that he shares a sacred lineage with the legendary Kron the Undying. This eternal kinfolk bond grants Khan similar resilience on the battlefield to help withstand countless enemies who dare test him. When overwhelmed by enemy forces, his pearlescent coat glows with a protective aura, absorbing devastating blows. For any adversary foolish enough to challenge him, they soon realize they are not just fighting a sorcerer, they are trying to tear down a living bastion of the Fey bloodline.
“That's the one.”
Ember looked confused.
“Wait. Half chimp and half unicorn?”
Buns nodded.
“Apparently.”
Jolius scratched his head.
“So... does he have a horn?”
“Nope.”
“How do you know his lower half is a unicorn then?”
“I have no idea but he will be offended if you say it's a horse.”
“I guess unicorns are more majestic and magical.”
“Rightly so.”
“Can he use magic?”
Buns nodded.
“That's what they say.”
Jolius thought about it for a moment.
“So basically, someone took a chimp, a unicorn and decided that wasn't weird enough.”
“Pretty much,” Buns replied.
Ember looked intrigued.
“So he eats like a monkey and poops like horse?”
“Unicorn!” Jolius corrected.
“Fine, I heard centaurs have beautiful hair. I want to see his and compare to yours.”
Jolius immediately looked offended and finger combed his hair.
“He has fur.”
Buns sighed and continued walking.
“We are supposed to be looking for Culebro.”
“Oh, right,” Jolius said.
He took another quick look at his reflection.
“Where were we?”
“Looking for Culebro,” Ember answered.
“Right.”
They marched deeper into the forest.
A few seconds later, Buns stopped.
“Wait.”
Everyone turned.
“What is it?” Jolius asked.
"I saw something weird."
"Where?"
"There, hiding behind that tree."
Everyone saw a dark figure observing the group from behind a tree.
