Tenrai is an Epic Neutral Dragonkin promo card introduced for Splinterlands’s 8th Anniversary celebration in August 2026. Tenrai was released alongside the Legendary Dragonkin Suiko and the two share a history as a pair of Dragonkin that fought together in the skies of Praetoria. Tenrai is available in the shop for $0.88 a copy. Together with Suiko, they are a great pair to use together in battle. In this post, we'll go over her lore, her stats & abilities as well as show a sample battle where she's used effectively.
Lore
Tenrai is a highly perceptive and daring Dragonsguard drake who instinctively spots weaknesses in enemy defenses. During a reconnaissance mission, she fell into a trap that resulted in both her and her lifelong partner Suiko losing their riders. Since then, Tenrai has struggled to trust others in combat, refusing to be ridden into battle while keeping her empty saddle as a reminder of what happened. Despite her trauma, Tenrai remains an exceptional scout and fighter. Her partnership with Suiko continues to reflect their contrasting strengths. Tenrai relies on speed and opportunity, while Suiko provides patience and protection.
Stats and Abilities
Tenrai is a great card to have at maxed level and must be paired with Suiko to have the most benefit. At maxed level she deals three magic damage and is very fast with five speed. On defense she has three armor and eight health. Her abilties include Opportunity which allows her to target the enemy's lowest health unit. This ability is important when used with Suico. She has Kindred Spirit which grants the Giant Killer ability to Suiko or other units with Kindred Will ability. Bulwark increases her armor and health in return for power when she's in first position. Relentless Strike makes her attacks immune to Void or Shield. Overall she's card that has great offense especially when paired with Suiko.
Featured Battle
In this battle, player Jerman had maxed leveled Tenrai and Suiko and they are his main damage dealers. He had a strong tank in Doomshield Warden who was supported by Merdaali Guardian and Archer Koi who were doing the healing and armor repair respectively.
His enemy used an all magic team with a couple to tank healers to sustain their frontline. Watch how Tenrai's offense completely destroyed the enemy. Her magic and Armored Strike gained from Suiko made a lot of damage to the enemy's units. His tank was kept alive by support cards Merdaali Guardian and Archer Koi.
