A few days ago, I was chatting in a group about eating out at fast-food places, and the truth is, I haven’t done it in a long time—more because of financial constraints than out of concern for my health.
However, all of this has turned out to be a positive thing for me, as it has contributed to the change in habits I’ve been going through, although I don’t regret all the fast food I’ve tried in my life.

Now, when I want to eat something similar, I prefer to do it at home, where I can have a little more control over the quality of the ingredients, as well as the portions I eat, which tend to be smaller and smaller.
However, this recent trip to eat at one of the Pérez H chain restaurants brings back particularly fond memories, as it was one of those “dates with myself” that I’d put on the back burner for many years.

Plus, being able to choose where to eat without having to ask my kids turned out to be a breath of fresh air from that role as mothers that traps us and often takes precedence over our identities as independent women. It’s not that I always consult with them about meals, but when it comes to going out to eat, the idea is to please them after a series of routine tasks that wear us all out.

In fact, this TBT has a different meaning for me, because just last week I was in the area where this restaurant used to be, and I saw that it’s no longer there—they’re renting out the space—which makes this memory all the more precious.
The photos I’m sharing were part of the decor at the service counter, and they looked like the kind of posters you usually see plastered on walls along the streets—although in this case, they weren’t promoting anything on the menu, they were still eye-catching because of how unique they were.

I definitely had a good time that day, on my own, enjoying my free time, the food, and a pleasant atmosphere—which, unfortunately, is no longer there.
