The Power of Music

Part 2

20261003_115210.jpg

"Imagination is the voice of courage. If there is anything divine about God, that is it. He dared to imagine everything."

Those who have seen my previous painting know there is more to come. I set out to paint music—something I once thought impossible. But it certainly is possible if you have imagination. To my mind, this painting plays a kind of jazz; I can feel the irregular notes. You decide what kind of music you experience when looking at the painting. You might see a single instrument, or a fusion of many instruments within the same image.

Now, I would like to recommend a book I read a long time ago—one that has been a great source of inspiration in my life. Cyril Scott has written many books within the spiritual realm. The book is titled The Power of Music. If you search online, you will surely find it.

That’s all, folks!

Hello Sonja, I’ve seen your previous post in the series about painting music. And it’s already clear that fascinating works are on the way. In this one I see an entire neighbourhood where music is created from the sounds coming from the street and the houses. I see rooms, clotheslines, kitchen objects… the nets of a volleyball or basketball court, little wooden bridges, water, trees — all viewed from above.

I believe that if someone can imagine something, it already exists on some level, as if that thought came from somewhere else; so I think it is possible to paint music, in fact, you’re proving it. I see a fusion of instruments, intermingling to create art and manifest themselves. To dare to imagine is to dare to be the creator of whatever it may be.

It’s a beautiful piece, full of colour and high vibrations. Thank you very much for recommending the book, and thank you for your excellent work as always. A big hug!🤗
