I wanted to let you know that our power outages have gotten longer—from 4 hours to 6 hours without service—during these extremely hot days caused by the global phenomenon known as “El Niño.” Honestly, it’s really, really inconvenient to be without power: businesses are closed, food is going bad, and the economy is running at half speed. But we need to make good use of our time, so I’m relieving some stress with my needles and yarn and creating beautiful, useful things for everyday life.
I hope you find this idea helpful—using a crochet hook, we’re going to make a beautiful crocheted brooch.

Les cuento que hemos que nos han incrementado las horas sin fluido eléctricos, de 4 horas pasados a 6 horas sin el servicio, días de calor fuertísimos por el fenómeno que nos afecta a nivel mundial, el super niño, la verdad es que es muy super incómodo estar sin fluido, negocios cerrados, con pérdidas de comida, una economía a media máquina, pero debemos utilizar bien nuestro tiempo, así que menos estrés con mis agujas e hilos y elaborar cosas bellas y útiles en el día a día.
Espero que esta idea les sea útil, con un gancho vamos a realizar un precioso prendedor tejido a crochet.

Materials//Materiales.
• Pink crochet yarn. • Green crochet yarn. • 2.0 mm crochet hook. • Wool needle. • Glue. • Safety pin or medium-sized hook. • Scissors.
• Hilo crochet color rosado. • Hilo crochet color verde. • Aguja de crochet de 2,0 mm. • Aguja lanera. • Pegamento. • Imperdible o gancho mediano. • Tijera.

1.- Make the Rose. We’ll start with the pink yarn to make the rose. Begin by tying a slip knot, then chain four stitches. Next, go back to the first stitch and work a double crochet, followed by three chain stitches. Go back to the first stitch and make a loop, into which you’ll work a double crochet.1.- Realizar la Rosa.
