Hello everyone, how are you all doing this beautiful morning? To not beat around the bush, I would want to drop my take on this interesting topic.
Personally, I feel an adult should be able to know how to manage their finances, like should be able to know how to manage money and spend wisely. This is something I'm still learning myself, yeah; I just have to be honest about that. Because how much am I even earning in a month, and I have to save, enjoy, eat, help, and all? There are times I'm able to do all of it conveniently, and most times I'm only able to do either one or two out of it. And it's not as if I don't make plans, but after doing all of that as a responsible adult, sitting myself down to budget on things, by the time the money finally comes in, unexpected expenses appear, and they are ones you can't just shy away from, maybe because of what exactly they are or who is in the picture.
Some have money and don't know how to manage it, while some don't and can be very good at managing it. We all are different. I know of people who are earning a lot more than me, and when it comes to how they spend, they do it recklessly, and in just a few days from when they're paid, there's nothing left; they're already broke and probably borrowing and in debt again, while some of us who earn way less are still being prudent. And this is not about maybe having bills to sort or emergencies; nah, some of them are people I know so well, and I know how they spend on irrelevant things.
I know that adulthood is all about learning, making mistakes, correcting, adjusting and becoming a more better person, that was why I said earlier that managing funds is something I'm still learning too, yeah, but I try my best to save and cut out irrelevant things.
And talking about an unlimited solo budget. I actually do not have so much to say about this. But if I had a free weekend where I had unlimited money to spend and absolutely no one to answer to, then I'm sure that I would make sure to enjoy myself.... To the fullest.
First, I would brush my teeth and take my bath, then I would dress up and step out to have breakfast, smelling really nice. Yeah, I won't be having breakfast at home; I would go out to do that and really take my time since I don't have a deadline to meet or a rush to get somewhere.
After that, I would go buy or rent a car since I can't keep on taking public transport to every single place I'm going. Then, I would go to a good spa and have a good time too. I've never been there before, but I've always wanted to. I would go there to get a very good massage, do a pedicure, a manicure, and all of those things.
Then towards the afternoon I would go eat again, and after eating I would make my way to the the supermarket and buy things. Not just anything, but first things I've always wanted to get for myself and then maybe some other things that may have caught my eye.
After that, I'm going straight to the cinema to watch a movie, yeah, while I'm balanced with popcorn in hand as I watch. And after that, I'm going out to get dinner, then make my way to a five-star hotel to pass the night.
I feel that is how my solo date would go. It doesn't have to be spent in a noisy place; I think it's just me enjoying my own company, and that is how I would love to do that. So, that's it for me, and since there's unlimited money to be spent, then let's just have it.
