For me, I would say life itself changed me; life is full of a lot of things, meeting various people and having different experiences. But then, for me, life came at me with full force, and to be honest, I didn't see it coming.

There are a lot of things I believed back then that life came to teach me otherwise; one of them is that you can sit down to plan your life, while life itself is sitting comfortably planning you. And I know that when I had to go through the hardest times of my life. It is not so much of a good experience to recall. It was an experience that shut me out of everything and anything. I almost lost myself in it. And then, I can't help but question a lot of things; I can very well see that my plans are going down the drain and my life is going in another direction, and nothing, absolutely nothing, can be done about it.
I lost time, a lot of time. But I'm glad I didn't lose my life. My story, testimony, life, dreams, and all were delayed, but it wasn't a denial. It wasn't easy though, you know, seeing how far others have gone while you're still here trying to just do something for yourself. But then, I only fall behind; I'm not a failure.
And that experience of mine has changed me a lot; it changed the way I see people, it taught me to judge people less, and it made me understand that a lot of people, if not all, were carrying something inside of them, and we just need to be human, feel, and understand one another. Because everyone is fighting something inside of them.

It also helped me to become more grateful, especially for good health. It is not easy to be living a peaceful life; if you've had no reason to be hospitalized, go under the blade, run tests, or even take injections, then you need to be very grateful. Some of us who have had to pass through all of these things know better than to joke with our health.
But then, I'm still here, living, learning, unlearning, and relearning. One thing is sure, though: I'm not the same person I used to be. Life came for me; it changed me, and it opened my eyes.
