[Movie] Movie Review: Warcraft.

Hello everyone, today we will be talking about an action movie titled Warcraft. It is a very beautiful film even though it wasn't exactly what I expected, I mean, judging from its title. Warcraft is a movie about two worlds in conflict with one another. There are the Orcs, and there are the humans too. Things happened, and the land of the Orcs began to experience things, so they sought to leave with the help of the great Guldan, who possesses very great black magic. However, their leaving to find another home turned into a very dangerous war that took the lives of many.

We have Lothar on the human side, a very great warrior who happens to later lose his son in the war; we also have Khadgar the young mage who later became very helpful; there's the king too, King Lane; we also have Medivh too, who happens to be the guardian and who everyone thought and trusted would help them win. We also have Garona, a half-human, half-orc who got caught in all of this, and there's Durotan too, one of the chieftains of the Orcs; he's different though, as he only wants to save people but did not believe that they should become monsters to do that. To him, Guldan is a monster, who's using black magic to take the human souls just so he can open a portal.

With all of these people and the various happenings, it almost became a survival of the fittest. Medivh, whom the king trusted along the line, later fell into the black magic of Guldan and got engrossed in it....

Like I said earlier, this movie wasn't what I was expecting, especially judging from the title. I was expecting spaceships, aircraft, and a lot of those things, but then I got to see big flying birds, though. I love the movie, though. I love how they presented the world; they presented it like/as a completely different place, with various creatures, magic, big castles, warriors, humans, orcs, and all.

I as well love the visual effects; nah, it is impressive. Likewise, I love how the Orcs looked so real; you will hardly know they're generated creatures. And Durotan, an Orc who's also a chief, is one of my most loved characters; his death pained me. He's not so interested in shedding blood and causing chaos; he just wanted to protect his people and live peacefully. Believe me, he's not scared or afraid of war; he just felt there could be another way. I also love the magic parts too; it added something extraordinary to the movie. Medivh does not need to start riding a horse or fly to appear and disappear at a place; he goes anywhere at will... And the battle scenes are very good too; I enjoyed it a lot, especially those parts accompanied by magic.

Now let's talk about how stuffed the movie is; it is just too stuffed for me. Too many things are happening altogether, and you're just left to start thinking of what could have happened or what could have led to what... And Garona, even though I loved her, especially with how she had to be between those two worlds. But then, I really do not seem to understand how the feelings developed so quickly between her and Lothar... Even though nothing actually happened between them, you can tell that they both have something for each other.

And lastly is the ending. I do not want to conclude yet, though, but then it is what it is. I do not like how the movie ended; the ending of the movie looked like something else was coming up, like it is not the end yet. More like the beginning of another movie/part. But then, the movie is a very interesting one. I just felt they could have taken time to explain, to some extent, the different worlds and their history.

Most of the things you mentioned in the review, I agree wth them, and still remember that feelng of wanting some more at the end as an unfinished business.

  • The truth is that I like movies like this, where there is a lot of imagination. I like the clash between two worlds, the orcs and the humans. I also like how powerful and well-organized the humans are, to the point that they can actually stand up to the orcs. 🎬⚔️
