Can you imagine working fully hard for all month without missing a single work day, doing all what you are expected at the right time, meeting the deadline of work and also having to always travel early to work place if it is very far from home and now it is payday and there is no money in the account, it will feel so odd and not so well.
You believe there might be delay then you have to wait for one day after the real payday, two days and you keep working thinking it will go well but nothing to say at all because everything is the same like before payday. Some even go through stress all in the name of working and not allowing people call them idle, i see some people salary at the end of the month and after removing transport, feeding and other miscellaneous, the money is just like a token that is not enough to sustain till through the new which payment have been delayed again.
One of the frustrations that comes with unfulfilled payment of workers is stress and this actually comes with promises made to organisations like at the end of the month i will pay you my debt or you getting foodstuff in credit and thinking at this certain day you will be able to pay your debt but when it got to that day there is no money and it makes you look like someone who cannot keep a promise all in the name of delayed payment. Anytime pay is late, there is surely a problem which starts first at home.
Not able to pay some basic needs like electricity bills on time and also school fees for children or just normal upkeep for those who are yet to give birth. Someone might actually be going to work and people see you every day working full time but still look like a begger to some people. Imagine an house rent is due for payment and the landlord is disturbing for money and you are working, what excuse can be given at that period when the delay is already getting to 8 to 10 days, they won’t believe anything you say at all.
They now tend to borrow money from friends and family all in the name of trying to sort expenses, the shame and embarrassment that delay can cause most time is not worth it.
You can be working and still your motivation can be killed all in the name of delay payment, also the productivity. Working in an organisation where payment is not made on time, to work will actually not be in the system and it surely reduce moral of worker looking like they are been used as slaves and this can actually affect the growth of that company in a bad way.
Delay payment can actually affect the reasoning of someone because different thought everyday thinking how will i sort the issue, how will i pay this bill, thinking wont be straight again and some can actually loose themselves. So late payment actually does more harm to workers which i believe should be tackled to make workers fell relevant.
