A New Addition to My Mother-in-Law's Garden: Growing Gabi, Growing More Green πŸ’šπŸŒ·

Hello everyone 🌷 β€Ž β€ŽIts me @mayt πŸ’• and today I wanted to share something new with my amazing #hivegarden family πŸ€—. β€Ž β€ŽJust something quick about my everyday life. β€Ž β€ŽLet's get started 😁 β€Ž β€ŽToday I went to see my mother-in-law. In my previous post I mentioned some plants she likes to grow in her garden. Including okra, eggplant, sweet potatoes and papayas. β€Ž β€Ž β€ŽHer garden is full of gabi and she keeps adding more. It seems like it never stops growing, and I think the space she's using for gardening is getting wider and wider hahah. β€Ž β€Ž β€ŽMy mum loves cooking with this plant, so having plenty of these plants is a good idea. Once they have grown bigger we can pluck off more gabi (leaves) and enjoy in our meals. β€Ž β€Ž β€ŽI wonder if it will stay small? Or will it grow big but one thing is for sure... it could end up on our plates hehe. β€Ž β€ŽHowever whilst I was looking I noticed something...

The leaves! β€Ž β€Ž β€ŽThey are so interesting and beautiful. Especially when there are little droplets. They form into leaves so its very lively looking. Fresh looking. β€Ž β€ŽIt's such a simple thing, but so beautiful to look at. I always love seeing some new growth πŸ₯°. β€Ž β€ŽPhotos: β€ŽBy me. β€ŽCover: β€ŽBy me (using Gemini). β€Ž β€ŽThank you so much for reading my post. I hope you enjoyed 😻.

Gabi plant is a treasure of tropical cuisine, especially in the Philippines and the Caribbean. Its versatility allows you to create everything from savory, comforting dishes to exquisite desserts.

There is an exquisite dish that stands out for its creaminess and its ability to absorb flavors: Pork Stewed in Coconut Milk with Gabi.

This is a traditional dish that combines the softness and starchiness of gabi with the juiciness of pork, all wrapped in a rich and aromatic coconut milk sauce. It is a comforting dish, perfect to serve with white rice.πŸ›

Those plants are amazing. I can recognise the cocoayam. We eat it very well in my country. Thank you for sharing. Your mother-inlaw is doing great. !ALIVE

Gabi tastes delicious, especially when cooked with coconut milk. Maybe it's her favorite vegetable, which is why she loves growing it. Hehe.
