This display was not the primary reason for a weekend visit to the museum, but the porcelain is so beautiful that I can't resist sharing these photos
This is a French flower tub or planter that was made in the 1700's by the Sèvres Manufactory.
Meissen or Du Paquier Chinoiserie Vase An 18th-century German or Austrian porcelain vase featuring molded handles The background is decorated with gold chinoiserie motifs depicting East Asian landscapes and pagodas.
I had to look up chinoiserie and found that it means 'European artists and craftsmen imitating or interpreting East Asian—primarily Chinese—artistic traditions, design, and iconography.'
Sèvres Ewer and Basin A French porcelain washing set with pitcher and bowl.
