Tell us about a time when someone made a wrong assumption about you without knowing the facts. How did you handle it? How did it make you feel?
Sometimes, these are situations from years ago that come back to mind. Looking back on it today, I realize that the unpleasant experience from that time in my life no longer bothers me.
I lived in a shared residence; everything seemed fine when I first moved in, but it appears the other girls were unhappy about something. They decided—or rather, concocted a story—claiming I had said or done things I had absolutely nothing to do with. The bottom line is that they unfairly targeted me.
Naturally, the feeling was awful; I simply listened while the other person became convinced I was guilty of spreading a negative rumor. I spent weeks feeling deeply saddened. My way of coping was to cut ties with those people completely. I have run into them a few times since, and they’ve tried to say hello as if nothing happened, but I just keep walking without looking back.
I always wondered: what drove them to do that? What were they afraid of regarding the story they invented? Now, I simply remember them and wish them well. I hope they continue living the lives they’ve created and that they’ve managed to handle the unpleasant situations they caused.
That happened many years ago; these are experiences and lessons we must take with us—and also let go of when it is time to move on.

Una semana de muchas bendiciones a nivel mundial. Deseando que todos se encuentren bien al lado de sus familiares en salud y bien-estar.
Cuéntenos de alguna vez en la que alguien hizo una suposición errónea sobre usted, sin conocer los hechos. ¿Cómo lo afrontaste? ¿Cómo te hizo sentir?
A veces, estas son situaciones vividas que datan muchos años atrás y ustedes vienen y lo recuerdan. Hoy día lo recuerdo descubriendo que ya no hay molestias en esa experiencia no grata en esos años de mi vida.
Viví en una residencia, supuestamente al mudarme todo estuvo bien, parece que las chicas no estuvieron conforme con algo y decidieron (digo decidieron armar una historia) historia que no tuve nada que ver con lo que supuestamente había dicho o hecho, el caso es que me apuntaron bien feo.
Por supuesto, el sentimiento fue muy desagradable, solo escuché, la persona quedó convencida que yo era culpable de un rumor negativo. Pasé semanas con mucha tristeza. Mi manera de afrontarlo fue no saber nada de estas personas, en algunas ocasiones me las he topado, han querido saludar como si nada, solo sigo mi camino sin mirar atrás.
Mi pregunta siempre fue ¿qué las llevó a esto? ¿A qué le temían en cuanto a la historia que inventaron? Simplemente las recuerdo y las bendigo. Que sigan su vida como la han creado y que las circunstancias desagradables que les han generado hayan sabido gerenciarlas.
Eso pasó hace muchos años, son experiencias y aprendizajes que debemos tomar y desechar cuando sea necesario desprenderse.
