I'm actually just finding out that this movie comes from a series based the books written by "Janette Oke". I don't know much about the whole series thing but one thing is clear, it's all about love and I've seen one other aside this one I'm about to review and it's titled "Love Comes Softly", one of the eight movies from the book.
"Love Finds A Home" from what I've just found out is the eighth and final book in the main series as written by Janette Oke. I think there's a better way to see all the movies rather than as they are released but I'm just finding out about the series thing so I'll just see any one of them and anytime, this one was actually recommended yesterday.
"Love Finds A Home" explores the life of Belinda (starred by Sarah Jones), a frontier doctor who is visited by her best friend, Annie (starred by Haylie Duff), also a doctor. Annie is heavily pregnant but had to visit her best friend as its been a long while. The two friends spend time with each other, talking about their worries especially of Belinda's inability to have a child of her own.
The story brings in Annie's mother inlaw, Mary (starred by Patty Duke), who is so meddlesome in making sure her daughter inlaw gives birth safely and she witnessing the birth. Belinda struggles to work with her, as a professional that she is considering that Mary uses outdated ways to nurse a sick pregnant woman. The two kept clashing till they began to learn from each other.
Other noteworthy characters in the story is Belinda's husband, Lee Owens (starred by Jordan Bridges) who clearly loves his wife so much regardless of the fact that she couldn't birth a child. He had adopted a daughter Lilian (starred by Courtney Halverson) who has grown to be a beautiful woman and has found love with her dad's new apprentice, Joshua (starred by Michael Trevino). Every story of each character directs to why the story is titled "Love Finds A Home".
I must say this, the fact that I learned of the movie being based on a book written, made me see how "right out of a book" the characters seem to me... Too perfect, fancy and beautiful to behold, every speech made is well articulated and every emotion is beautifully shown. The characters in the two I've seen are well played.
I might see another of the book series but for now, I've seen only two and I'll recommend you check them out for a light movie time. No, it's nothing special but it's worth spending a quiet free time on to relax. I'll give it a rating of 7/10.
