It makes me think about the little things we experience every day but don’t appreciate. I feel that sometimes we don’t value the small details or the people around us enough; we end up on the wrong track, and everything becomes monotonous. That’s how this movie, Girls Like Girls, came to be.
It’s a 2026 film that I consider one of the most interesting and unconventional romantic dramas I’ve seen so far. If you’re a fan of this genre—regardless of gender—you might want to give it a try. It has a lot to say about how a romance can begin unexpectedly, even though it was always there.
It’s a film that stands out for going against the typical heterosexual relationship, but it tells a rather unique love story between two girls—a journey of how love blossoms from friendship—and highlights the different stages of growth you can experience in a relationship.
Alguna vez te has sentido solo y de pronto conoces a una persona que te hace salir de tu zona de confort, te hace sentir diferente y a la vez tan viva? Me hace pensar en las pequeñas cosas que vivimos a diario y no apreciamos, siento que a veces no valoramos mucho los pequeños detalles o las personas de nuestro alrededor, nos confundimos de carril y todo se vuelve monotonía, es así como nace esta película girls like girls.
Es un film del 2026, que considero que es uno de los enfoques dramáticos románticos bastante interesantes y fuera de lo común que he visto hasta ahora, si eres fans de este género sin distinción de sexo, podrías adicionar a darle una oportunidad, da mucho que decir en como inicia todo un romance sin haberlo esperado pero era algo evidente.
Es una película que se destaca por ir en contra de una relación típica heterosexual, pero tiene una historia de amor bastante peculiar entre dos chicas, un recorrido de como nace un amor a través de una amistad, resalta el hecho de diferentes etapas de superación que puedes tener en una relación.

Una cosa que llamo mi atención fue la interpretación de una de las chicas, la actriz Myra Molloy, fue bastante espontánea y muy realista en su manera de hacer el papel, está película fue dirigida por Hayley Kiyoko y me sorprendió que fue basada en su libro del mismo nombre del 2023.
Cómo pueden ver en el tráiler destacan diferentes cosas, romance, dramas, diversión, reflexiones, nuevos comienzos cosa que fluye con lo que quiere darse demostrar al público, un amor de verano o capaz fugaz al momento.
Las reflexiones y las acciones tomadas en la película puede que este bien recibida en el público correcto.
Algo que tengo que agregar es que mezclan mucho el juego de relaciones y las dudas existenciales de la chica, capaz también le da un toque realista a las chicas bisexuales y que tienen esta confusión, pero podría haber sido de otra manera a qué un corazón fue pisoteado en miles de pedazos.

You have to keep an open mind for this kind of movie—it’s quite sweet in a romantic way. It has its ups and downs, but they always find a way through. It’s a story about moving past challenges and growing into maturity.
My recommendations for this movie: it’s not for everyone. As I mentioned, it’s more for open-minded viewers, especially romantics. I wouldn’t recommend it for family viewing unless the subject matter isn’t taboo. From my perspective, I loved the diversity in the film and the twist at the end. To be honest, I wanted to keep watching to see what would happen next. When I realized it had ended, haha. Estás dos escenas me hacen creer en el amor nuevamente, si me sentí bastante a flor de piel, la primera muestra como nace una amistad de esas que quieres estar todo el tiempo con ella y la segunda imagen muestra la conexión que no se puede negar tener.
Tienes que tener la mentalidad abierta a este tipo de películas, es bastante linda en modo romántico, tiene sus altas y bajas pero siempre encuentran la solución, es una manera de superación de etapas, crecimiento de madurez.
Mis recomendaciones para esta película, no es para todo público, es más para la mentalidad abierta como mencioné, más enfocado en los románticos, para disfrutar en familia no lo recomiendo a menos que no sea tabú, mi punto de vista me encantó la diversidad que hubo y el giro tomado al final, les soy sincera quise seguir mirando que más pasaría, cuando miro llegó a su fin jaja los leo en los comentarios espero saber si ya la vieron, si la vieron o no es su tipo, saludos!!!
