Yeah, to be very, very honest, I haven't even looked at Hive lately. Not at my account here, not at the coin (I'm scared! But we'll be OK), and not at crypto in general, actually. I got enthusiastic about Polymarket a few weeks ago, putting $1 at a time into short bets (Bitcoin up/down) and was VERY lucky with an accidental $14 bet that ended up making me my rent for that month. And BOY, it was needed! Because I didn't have the rent...
Sharing one picture of @thecoolkid and his buddy in Mexico City.
Then my son lost his residency card only ONE week after he received it. That was in October too. And we went to Mexico City for the kids' passports. It was nice. I really like the city, but MADNESS regarding traffic! I would never in my life want to drive there. Nuts... Photos will follow. I have lots!
So while I was worrying about getting work and a normal paycheck, I wasn't so invested in Hive, or anything else, really. But recently, I decided to change things around a bit. Being without work has its good things. Instead of worrying, I completely threw myself at creating. Things. I've started drawing again. Even writing. Actually, script writing. Not because I hope to sell a movie script any time soon, but because I LOVE it! Another thing I've found I enjoy is video editing. Yup. Only just getting started, but learned SO much already! Aside from this, I've been making herbal tinctures and other stuff. I have kombucha in the making almost all the time. And when I'm not struggling to get the pool cleaned, I also swim quite a bit...
All in all, it's all good. I like this creator part of me. Much more than the struggling freelancer part. So I'm sticking with it. Might even pick up a paintbrush soon too!
So yeah, back to the title: I missed my Hive anniversary. 3rd of June. 9 years! And around 10 in crypto, which I started in May 2016... Milestones! Yay ME! Oh, and more than half the time on Hive, we've been living in Mexico. Time sure flies! Oh, and Mexico is (partly) hosting the FIFA World Cup, of course. Big for the country. Two wins for Mexico so far!
Not promising anything, but I will try to come back more often. At least to unload all my Mexico City pictures haha.
Love you all, and yeah, I did miss it here!
