I cherish the moments when I can get a dragonfly sitting still. It can be challenging and nearly impossible at certain times of day. These ones were caught in the morning. They are just waking up and are more docile. They will take more time to rest on objects and don't fly away as quickly, so it is a great chance to get closer. I'm not even sure if they really see more or care; as I move in cautiously, there is very little movement.
