I've come across an exchange between acidyo, starkerz and roundbeargames on Discord.
In the exchange roundbeargames asked starkerz how much he invested in USD. And starkerz claimed that he invested more than almost anyone else on Hive and hundreds of thousands of dollars.
He summed his investment as his stake + what he invested in the apps he have built over the years. Do you see the problem in this? He sneaked the investments in the apps he have built as an investment in Hive.
I have to disagree with that because it is disingenuous. Investing in your own apps is not an investment in Hive.
What acidyo invests in Holozing is not an investment in Hive, what starkerz invested in his own apps is not an investment in Hive.
There are only two investments in Hive, stake and contributions to what makes this chain run. Any other thing is not an investment in Hive, it is an investment in your own product.
When you invest in the development of the game, and you release it on Steam. Whatever you spent on the game's development is not an investment in Steam.
When you start a Wordpress site, and pay for hosting and the domain that is not an investment in Wordpress.
