Heredity and variation have persisted through the ages.

Hello friends, I hope you are doing well. Welcome to my new post. Today, we will discuss heredity and variation. Our world is home to a vast array of organisms and animal species, among which we observe diverse forms of variation. One significant type of this variation is hereditary variation. When an organism inhabits the earth over a long period, we observe various changes within it.

It is primarily due to these changes that we witness such diversity. We see various species that share many similarities, yet in many instances, significant differences are also apparent. Take humans, for example; while we belong to the same species, one individual differs from another. You will notice differences in hair color or DNA between individuals. No two people have identical facial structures.

This phenomenon is largely passed down through the lineage of heredity. A mutation is a major, permanent change within a species. When a gene undergoes a hereditary alteration that persists throughout the organism's life, we call it a mutation.

This falls under the category of variation. Changes in human genes often stem from chromosomal abnormalities. Human cells contain various chromosomes that can sometimes undergo hereditary changes. Additionally, the onset of certain diseases can alter the specific size and shape of these chromosomes, subsequently changing the genes they carry.

This results in significant physical and mental changes in the organism. Sometimes, the number of chromosomes exceeds the standard count, leading to observable changes in the organism. It is natural for these genetic changes to occur within organisms. Thank you all for reading my post.
