A horror flick that profiteering on its 'idiot plot' absurdity and invites the audience to laugh with it. It is borderline parody or the b-movie genre (this one with much more budget, nice works on monsters etc) but there is no fourth-wall breaking by the protagonist a-la Deadpool vs Wolverine.
This is also could be metaphorical on the tragedy and horror being a gig worker having to deliver on the work side and the personal side - a partner who do not understand his job and constantly demanding lol.
Zach also directed the 2022 Barbarian (which I havent watched, but now have a reason to do so lol)
