Assalamu Alaikum everyone! I am Nazma Nazu, and today I am back with another little story from my beautiful village home garden.
These days, almost every day we are getting rain in Bangladesh. Even this morning, we had rain. After the rain, the whole garden looks fresh, green, and full of life. The leaves become brighter, the air feels cooler, and walking through the garden gives me a peaceful feeling that is difficult to describe.
If I started talking about all the fruits currently growing in my garden, this post would become very long! We have year-round boroi (jujube), banana, chalta (elephant apple), lemon, bel (bael), pomegranate, chobeda, cherry, orange and many more.
But today, I want to share three of my favorite fruits with you Chobeda, Cherry, and Orange.
Chobeda - A Special Fruit in My Garden
The first picture is of my Chobeda fruit. I really love the unique appearance of this fruit. It is growing beautifully among the green leaves of the tree.
Looking at a fruit developing naturally on a tree gives me a special kind of happiness. Every fruit reminds me that gardening is all about patience. We plant a small tree, take care of it for years, and one day it rewards us with beautiful fruits.
Cherry - A Little Fruit Full of Happiness
The second picture shows a beautiful cherry growing among the dense green leaves.
I am always excited when I see cherries growing in my garden because it is not something we commonly see in ordinary village gardens here. Seeing the small red fruit hidden among the leaves feels like finding a little treasure.
Orange - Growing in Our Own Garden
And the third picture is of our orange tree, carrying several beautiful green oranges.
The fruits are still green, but they are growing nicely. I love watching them slowly increase in size. Hopefully, when they become fully mature, they will be even more beautiful and delicious.
Slowly Turning Our Garden into a Farm Village
Our dream is not simply to grow a few fruit trees around our house. Step by step, we are trying to turn our home garden into a small farm village.
Our goal is to produce as much of our daily food as possible ourselves and, InshaAllah, gradually produce organic and naturally grown products that we can also share with others.
We want to work with fruits, vegetables, fish, ducks, chickens, goats and other farm products while reducing our dependence on unnecessary chemicals. We understand that avoiding pesticides completely can sometimes make cultivation more difficult and may reduce production, but for us, healthy and responsibly grown food is more important than simply getting the highest possible yield.
Because our ducks and chickens freely move around our garden, we are especially careful about what we use on the plants. Instead of relying on chemical pesticides, we sometimes use our own simple garden methods, such as spraying water mixed with shampoo and turmeric, according to our experience, to help manage insects. We still need to give the plants extra care and regularly observe them.
Our dream is that one day we can make different products from the fruits and other things we grow and take them to many people.
For me, this garden is more than just a place where fruits grow. It is a place of dreams, patience, family, healthy living and love for nature.
I hope you enjoyed these three little fruits from my village garden today.
Thank you so much for visiting my garden and sharing this journey with me.
InshaAllah, more fruits and more stories are coming soon!
