Ojos I - Sketchbook
Hello, these are my traditional practice pieces from today. I hope you enjoy them. It was focused on eyes, their shape, and how they behave. I didn't know you could learn so much from something that seems so simple. They say the eyes are the window to the soul, so it's better to learn how to draw them well if we want our characters to have expressive looks.
Hola, estas son mis prácticas en tradicional del día de hoy. Espero que las disfruten. Estuvo centrada en los ojos, su forma y cómo se comportan. No sabía que se podía aprender tanto de algo que parece tan simple. Dicen que los ojos son la ventana del alma, así que mejor aprender a dibujarlos bien si queremos que nuestros personajes tengan miradas expresivas.
The first thing was to learn a bit about the anatomy of this part of the body and its main components, how the eyelids behave, and what proportions each part occupies. There are different eye shapes, just as there are different people in the world, so they are a very important trait.
Lo primero fue aprender algo de la anatomía de esta parte del cuerpo y sus principales componentes, cómo se comportan los párpados y qué proporciones ocupa cada parte. Hay formas de ojos distintas, así como personas distintas hay en el mundo, así que son un rasgo muy importante.
By making small variations in the eyes and the placement of the eyelids and pupils, we can convey different expressions, such as sadness or joy. When we are sad, our eyes narrow; when we are surprised, they open wide.
Haciendo pequeñas variaciones en los ojos y la ubicación de párpados y pupilas, podemos dar a entender distintas expresiones, como tristeza o júbilo. Cuando estamos tristes, nuestros ojos se entrecierran; si estamos sorprendidos, se abren completamente.
Finally, I made a little drawing. I know I still have a lot to learn about eyes and how to draw them, but I really enjoyed learning this little bit today. Tomorrow I might continue drawing eyes. Until next time, and thank you for joining me for another day of drawing.
