Trump has shown everybody who he is on countless occasions. That he is fraudulent, lacks dignity, childishly selfish, and incompetent. Yet the Republicans kept backing him and pushing him to the forefront.
Trump came into the scene without any decorum or sportsmanship. Talking about his opponents like a housewife or a tout rather than like a respectable gentleman with dignity.
It was nice to see a politician sound so relatable and sound like he was really pissed off by what he considered the wrong doings of the opposition. Very beautiful to see. But he had to dial it down at least later on so that the office of the President would have some dignity.
Plus the President is supposed to watch his words especially as soon as he becomes President. So that he doesn't cause division and more bitter enmity between his supporters and the opposition. But this guy didn't. Even as a president he kept on stoking the flames of enmity every chance he gets. Calling people names, attacking them and encouraging others to attack them, talking like there's nothing wrong with fighting dirty.
Then he did so many scandalous things as a President. For example it was found he used his campaign money to pay a pornstar, Stormy Daniels, to keep quiet about the affair they had.
Then he withheld aid to Ukraine. Aid that is not his personal money. But he withheld it because Ukraine was not cooperating with him to get information about Joe Biden and Hunter Biden. For this he was impeached, because this is using official position for person agenda.
Then this guy lost the election and gave everything he could to not vacate the seat. Almost caused a Civil War with everything culminating in pushing the crowd to go to the Capitol and stop the certification of the election results. It was only by luck lawmakers and other politicians didn't get killed on this day when the crowd attacked on January 6th.
The Republican party members could see clearly what a bad person this was, but they didn't say anything. They kept backing him and fronting him. For example one of his most vocal supporters Tucker Carlson was found saying how he really felt about Trump in private, and how he really felt was that Trump was thrash but yet this same Carlson was always on TV saying good things about Trump all for the purpose of keeping up the fronting of Trump.
They kepts fronting him for the reason that the masses loved him and he was one of their best chances at having a party member as president. For this reason alone they ignored every other thing and damned the consequences.
So he was brought back for a second term as their candidate. He promised better prices, no new wars, cutting of Government spending, Epstein files, freedom of speech.
Prices and Wars
But this guy came and made a mess out of making trade deals with the world via tarrifs, causing prices to get bad.
Then he started the war with Iran. It is good for Iran or any Muslim country with terrorist inclinations to not have a nuclear weapon, but it could have been handled better like it has been handled all these years before Trump. If war had to be done it had to be better planned too so it doesn't drag on for this long affecting prices for this long.
But chances are this guy can't be trusted to plan or oversee something as serious as war. He surrounds himself with yes men and dishonourable people like Hegseth, and others he appointed to critical positions. He most likely didn't have the best people advising him as he had replaced them with yes men, and as he is not really open to dissenting opinions.
As a result of all of these inflation and high prices are wrecking Americans and affecting the whole world too.
Cutting of Government Spending
What a mess that was with DOGE. Firing people, finding out their importance, rehiring them. Poorly staffing some departments, etc. After all the fuss nothing was really saved to benefit the people.
Epstein Files
Everyone couldn't wait for Trump to expose the files like they were promised, but he kept giving excuses and had to be forced to release them at last. With so much of it redacted. A shameful show that no one saw coming when Trump was campaigning. Then it turns out Trump and Epstein were like best friends 🤦🏿♂️.
Freedom of Speech
Trump and his supporters made it look like Trump is for freedom of speech and when he's in power you can say what you like without getting persecuted or cancelled. But it turns out you can say what you like as long as what you say is not against him.
He made the moves to cancel Jimmy Kimmel's Show and Stephen Colbert's because they speak against him in their shows. Kimmel got reinstated but Colbert's has stayed gone.
He threatens the press every day and call them names. He even banned certain networks from the White House. Freedom of the press 🤦🏿♂️.
In all of these Republicans kept pushing him forward and singing his praises to the public every chance they get. All because they fancy his having a big fanbase. Nothing else mattered to them.
Now the Republican party has been set back by so many years. They lost around 25 key seats, and historical Republican states that haven't voted Democrat in decades voted Democrats this time, like Kansas who voted their first Democratic senator in 94 years.
That's how backwards Trump has dragged their party. And it serves them right. It's so beautiful to see consequences for once.
If the Democrats manage to use this opportunity to make things better, no one would vote the Republicans for another half a century or so.
