Today I have another story to share with you. It's about my hobby. Many times I've wanted a handbag, and as other women know, finding something you really like can be quite difficult. I'm someone who loves knitting, so today I'm presenting a practical bag. I use my free time after taking care of the children to do what I love. I have several bags that I've knitted myself, saving me the trouble of buying them from a department store. They may not be luxurious, but they hold great sentimental value for someone who appreciates handmade crafts. Previously, I bought several bags from online apps that I liked, but they weren't very spacious for everyday use. So, I decided to try making my own bags. This allows me to choose the colors and styles I want, and I can also make them smaller or larger as needed. Today, I chose yarn colors based on my birthdate – colors considered lucky, haha, just according to my beliefs! I chose yellow, purple, and cream to crochet a large bag for carrying my essentials when I go out. As a mom, when I go out, I need to pack wet wipes, dry tissues, my wallet, a tripod, and a small bag for nail clippers, lipstick, earphones, and sometimes a water bottle. My small bags just aren't enough, so I decided to make my own, and I'm very happy with it. I also plan to create other items, and if possible, to generate extra income from them, that would be great.
I chose yellow yarn for the bottom of the bag. This type of silk is quite good; it's lustrous, doesn't fray, and is relatively durable and holds its shape well.
After the base of the bag is complete. I also used purple yarn to start shaping the body of the bag. I estimate the amount I need, then I'll start changing the yarn to a creamy white color.
I started knitting with cream-white yarn. I wanted more of this color than purple, so I used quite a lot of it. Once I've crocheted to my desired consistency, I'll go back to using the purple color again to add the bag handles and shoulder strap.
And then everything came together to form a bag that can hold a lot of things. I used a simple knitting technique, and the finished product has a different kind of beauty. Once the first bag was finished, I secretly thought I'd crochet a cute, stylish keychain to hang on it to make it look even better. But then I thought again, so I asked for a purple glasses case to match the bag and make the most of its functionality. In the future, I plan to try crocheting various types of bags with this type of yarn and then sell them to generate income.
