There are days where my parents had to travel and left me with my neighbors. I would eat, bath and do everything with my friends because I was living with them. On a normal day itself, you’d mostly find all of us at one person or the others end. We lived like one big family until we grew up and life took us so many miles away. Some of my childhood friends , I still am in touch with and we talk all the time but others have someway somehow disappeared into thin air.
I mostly sit down and wonder what their lives are like today. Are they living well and are they healthy. Have they achieved all their goals and if not are the closer to it. As kids we all had dreams we even spoke about together. Some wanted to be doctors,lawyers and so on. And as children we are very hopeful that we will achieve our dreams.
But somehow, no one warned us about the realities of life as we age. But we are here now and we are facing them a day at a time. If I should find myself in a room with my childhood friends, trust me it will be one hell of a get together. There’s be so much tears and laughter after so many years. I mean, it will be lovely to be able to meet and reconnect with all these amazing people I grew up with. It will be a time to reconnect and catch up on life while also reestablishing old relationships we had. Let ke not forget to add that there may be a fight if some of my classmates from back then were to be present. There were a group of people who used to bully myself and the other kids and i have always waited for the day when i can meet them again and call them out for their actions towards others. The bullying got to much that some kids had to change schools which was something that shouldn’t have gone there. Eventually , teachers even became victims which led to the expulsion of the culprits. If these group of people are kept out of the meeting, I believe everything will go on smoothly as it should
Life has it was of doing things and I really wouldn’t be surprised if a day like this comes to pass. In fact, I really hope it does because I really miss my friends and the people who I had the opportunity to spend my childhood days with.
