I never knew I had this level of leadership skill and the capacity to organize an event until the opportunity came knocking at my door.

To be sincere, I declined such responsibility immediately from our president with a very long letter explaining to her how I am not the right person to plan for our women's annual August meeting. How I am too young for such things, how I don't know much, and the many flimsy excuses I gave our president.
To my greatest surprise, the woman didn't listen to all my emotional excuses. She said, "Nkem, it's one day people use to try out new things, so yeah, this is that day for you to plan our August meeting for this year, and it's final." I froze for some time; I didn't know what to say. I thought of stepping down from being one of the officials in our women's organization, but my mentor warned me never to quit working for God because of a new responsibility; all I need is to ask God for his grace.
The whole thing was becoming a reality, and I was overthinking myself. The first meeting, I called the August meeting committee ; I couldn't say a word when they gathered. I didn't know where to start; it was as if my brain were formatted, but in everything, the holy spirit helped me, and I began.
One thing I did that helped me a lot was being open-minded, allowing the committee to bring in ideas while I joined them with mine, and boom, things were turning out so well. It's been three weeks since we started the planning, and finally, the event will happen tomorrow after church service. So far, I have gathered 95% of what I needed to make the event a success. All hands have been on deck since this week, and I am grateful for the committee seeing how committed they are, working effortlessly with me.
I can't wait to experience tomorrow and have a remarkable memory with my fellow women. It promises to be a fun-filled event with lots of games with prizes. The program is well packed to impact women in diverse areas.
Take a look at this flyer below and see some events I planned;

There are still more not covered in this flyer, and so far, our women are eagerly waiting to have this reunion in flying colors. 🥰
