When life challenges me, where do you find the courage to stand back up and keep going? My mother, whenever life becomes difficult and I start feeling like I have had enough and these days, its alot, I think about her. I think about everything she has sacrificed, every difficult moment she has endured, and all the times she kept moving even when life probably gave her every reason to stop. Somehow, thinking about her struggles reminds me that giving up is not really an option for me. i'd do anything for that woman,
My mother represents strength to me in a way that i cant even put into words for real. She may not always give some long motivational speech, its not like i even need it, she gave me all the speeches i needed when i was growing up and they stuck with me, but her life itself is a lesson. I dont need to delve into all that and its not something she uses to pressure me. Watching your mother carry responsibilities, deal with problems and still wake up the next day to continue doing what needs to be done teaches you something about perseverance.
Obviously their are days when I feel tired and im like let me just take the day off or just sleep a bit, frustrated or disappointed with how things are going. Their are times also when I question whether all the effort is actually worth it or if the effort is going to be worth it in the future and then i remember whom i do it all for, my mom. I think about the things she has done for me and the person she has helped me become, although at the time i just thought she was bothering me, but now im thankful to her for staying disciplined and helping us stay disciplined in all my endeavors. Then I ask myself, if she could keep pushing through her own difficult moments, why shouldn't I push through mine? Now, that i have a less harsh life than her thanks to the oppurtunities she was able to give us. I mean she could have used the money she had to buy designer bags and flex on herself but no, she sacrificed all that, to ensure we had what we had the best quality of anything that was essential.
I also think about how much she wants to see me succeed. Every parent has dreams for their children, and I know my mother wants to see me become someone who can stand confidently on his own feet. That thought gives me another reason to keep going. I don't want her sacrifices to become just a story from the past. I want them to mean something and i want her to be alive to witness all this.
So to simply answer the question ,when life pushes me, I get back up, for my mother!!
