...and they remind us that we all have that same beauty inside of us.
It is the first day of the new month, and we wish all to have a blessed and peaceful 4 weeks ahead.
Flowers are the music of the ground. From earth's lips spoken without sound. Edwin Curran
Earth laughs in flowers. Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Some lovely quotes above and I regard them all as true, as I also have an eye for the colors as they stroke my soul with their beauty and peace. They also tell me the story of our lives. We are born "planted", then we are young "the bud", then in adulthood we "bloom", and finally as we fade away we "wilt and die". That's what life was supposed to be, but the weeds are a threat in all our lives.
In here you will see the beauty of these flowers that I got on a short walk at a wine farm. No time to name them, and I don't even think that I could because to me everything is either an Iris or a Lily. Lol.
I asked my wife to show you this little lovely flower.
And then, the same flower that is busy dying, but look at the color change.
This has to be a lily or an iris. Lol.
And finally, this one has to be an iris or a lily. Lol again.
I hope someone picks up my humor, as I am at a loss for words when it comes to flowers. I know that the specie names are in Latin and I didn't do well at school with Latin. But then again, I didn't do well with everything else at school, except sports as I hated it to be cooped up in a classroom when the birds are calling me outside. Yes, I am still now an outside person to this day, and my mom called me a nomad.
We also visited a pond on this outing, and I have enough material on camera for two other posts. But I chose to do the flowers first, as it is Sunday and we regard it as a day of rest. Nothing better than to have the beauty of the flowers in one's mind at bedtime, as it is very peaceful. They say in the rush nowadays that we must stop and smell the roses, at times, but then again with so much going on our phones we live a continuously stressful life. Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
