Zachow's prelude to "Jesu, der du meine Seele" is setup as a short double fugue on the first phrase of the choral melody and a free counter subject. The counterpoint shows Zachow's craftmanship, and the result is a nice choral prelude, just not a very memorable one.

The recording was done with the Hauptwerk software and the sampleset, made by Sonus Paradisi, of the Hinsz organ in the Reformed church in the Midwolda (https://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/organs/netherlands/midwolda-surround-sample-set.html).
