Indila’s “Love Story” is exactly that kind of track — it doesn’t shout, it doesn’t show off, it doesn’t promise anything… and still it puts a whole movie in your head. It has that sad elegance, but not the kind that drags you down, more like the kind that lets you breathe. I don’t know if it’s her “best” song, but it’s definitely one of those that stay with you.

This afternoon I chilled out and watched this fine French 1937 film version of Pushkin's novella, The Queen of Spades. There was also a highly reputed film of the same novella, released in 1949 and directed by Thorold Dickinson, but for me, this older French version takes the biscuit.
Currently listening to the classic “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears. 🎶😁 Such a timeless song... somehow it makes this Sunday night feel even better hehe.
