A friend gave me this plant a long time ago; it was small when it arrived in that pot, and I’ve been taking care of it ever since. Around here, it’s called a "millionaire plant," and people say it’s good to keep one in front of your house for good luck. As it grew, it started branching out, and I didn’t notice it was beginning to dry up. I tried watering it more often to keep it from withering, but then I realized the problem: the pot—which was made of plastic—had cracked, likely from too much sun.
Thankfully, it’s still healthy, and I don’t think it will dry out completely. I’m going to get some fertilizer, move it to a new pot, and keep it here at home. Honestly, the lack of rain combined with so much sun has wiped out most of the plants in everyone’s homes; between the drought and the lack of running water, everything has been destroyed.
