Forced Breaks and Actions... .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 287

When you don't have clear limits, and you can't control yourself, the Universe will send you a stronger message... Which you will have to listen to... There are no ifs or buts about it... It probably depends on the point of view, but most of the time, these "messages" were rough in the beginning, but positively developed in the end...

WorkerBee Pool 287.jpg Created on Canva.com, using my wife's photo as a background

Don't run! Don't walk so fast! Don't force yourself too much...

I've heard those words said many times in the last 2-3 weeks... My body is still in the recovery process, and I suppose it doesn't care what people are telling it... One of the messages I got from my body was "Slow down", which forced me to take a break... Btw., the finger in the photo is mine, pointing at my T-shirt message... The irony is that I bought that shirt 1-2 weeks before my surgery... Just to have a reminder...

On the other hand, maybe my brain can't limit me from doing things, but my body definitely has its ways... lol... I can't run, I can't walk "faster", the pain hits whenever I try to do it, so the "self-protection" works!

Another example that comes to my mind regarding "forced" things is the moment when we (my wife and I) decided to buy our first apartment... We were delaying that moment for years... Searching for the best moment, for a perfect home, for a perfect price, which of course never came...

When it was overdue for a long time, we got a cold shower from our landlord when she decided to raise our rent by 20%! We didn't expect such a big raise; we were unprepared for a home hunt, but we had to do it... Rent prices went up everywhere, and while it was a few months' hustle, we managed to find a home that we could afford and that we liked... And truth to be told, it was the best decision EVER! Maybe it wasn't completely our decision, maybe we didn't like it at the beginning, but it turned out very well...

Current HIVE "events" remind me of these "forced" things... Nobody likes to see the HIVE price going down to ATL; nobody likes to see its DHF proposal unfunded; nobody likes to have diluted savings...

I don't see these things as negatives... I see it as a wake-up call, as a new opportunity, as an incentive to find better solutions...

Do you have some examples from your past when you were FORCED to do something, but it turned out right in the end? I would like to read about it in the comment section...

Let's see the WorkerBee Pool numbers for this week...

This week, we have mined 138 BEE tokens in total, 12 tokens less than a week before!

This week we didn't get new delegators! As usual, we got additional delegations from old members! Thanks for your continuous support, guys and girls! I really appreciate it!

This pool doesn't charge fees, and you can earn up to 20% more by delegating to it!

What about the bonus tokens?

As I'm on my break, I didn't follow closely about the Splinterlands... I heard there were (and will be) some changes implemented which could finally work out for the SPS token price... What I did notice is that the price stopped that ugly decline, and even moved a bit up... Let's see how it goes in the future...

There will be 210 SPS tokens distributed to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

image.png

210 SPS tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 14.153%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 17.036%!

I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price... Currently, the BUY side of the WORKERBEE tokens is very thin, and it's hard to calculate the middle price.

Do you want to sponsor the PH-Pool with your tokens, receive a short SPONSORED segment in this post, and raise awareness about your front-end or dApp? Please let me know in the comment section, or contact me through Discord or Twitter, and we will find the best solution for both parties...

Liotes Divider Blue.png

If you want to join the WorkerBee PH-Pool, the only thing that you have to do is to STAKE tokens to YOUR account and DELEGATE your staked WORKERBEE tokens to THIS account (@ph1102)! Every week, you will get your portion of mined BEE tokens and BONUS rewards!

.:. DO NOT STAKE TOKENS TO MY ACCOUNT!!! Just DELEGATE! .:.

All payments will be made after publishing this post...

Thanks for the update and SPS tokens!

Do you have some examples from your past when you were FORCED to do something, but it turned out right in the end?

Hmm I could think of my work trips actually. Contrary to what most people think, corporate work trips can be very hectic, especially when we are quite junior and have to settle the logistics, including meeting details, preparation works, and even arranging transportation and accommodation etc. Looking back, it gave me some of best exposure versus sitting in the office cubicle for another routine week.

Irrespective of surgery we do age, and have to admit we cannot do what we did in out 20s. I just moved house and pretty much moved on my own with a wee wagon, as it was only 160 yards up the road. But I felt it and I did it over a month so I could take a break hehe! Hope you are fighting fit soon!

    Is Human! ( I'm joking )

    I like the thumbnail photo.

I hope one day i have the chance to buy also a home.

Do you find this days a wake up call but do you expect to recover for this?

I like your report like Always.

I think this is our reality as people. Almost everyone wants to wait for a perfect opportunity and most of the time, they never come and we only sadly learn when we're taught the lessons of trying to wait for too long.

  • @jfang003(78)· 13d

I think it's true. When you are forced, you tend to think as carefully as possible with your limited choices, and I tend to move faster. I hope you recover soon.

    Thanks for running the pool.

    Thank you for the SPS!

Wish you steady recovery and patience with it. And talking about patience I can tell you the hunt for the perfect land in the mountains (at least in my mind)... which in my case took about 2 years of research, driving with the car and searching. I found it, had big dreams, but reality hit that it was too much for me to start from zero. So I adapted, now I am selling it and planning to downscale (it has 4000 sqm) or simply buy one with a small house on it.

It is important for us to be able to adapt and accept that as a normal thing and not a failure.

I think sometimes we need to make a change as we keep ignoring the signs. What feels like a setback at first may turn into something positive ;)

  • When it was overdue for a long time, we got a cold shower from our landlord when she decided to raise our rent by 20%!

Coincidently we find ourselves in the same situation right now, as the monthly charges have almost doubled. Over the past months we have been looking around for something smaller and affordable, but no go, and now we are waiting for a miracle :) Hope that you are slowly recovering.

  • @ekads(61)· 13d

Take the time you need to recover, my friend. When the time comes, you’ll be able to run at full speed—let alone just walk.

I hope you get well soon.

  • @enraizar(71)· 13d

Good afternoon, @ph1102 I hope you heed that advice. Life is like Bitcoin: in bear markets, you have to be patient and wait for the bull market to arrive to sell at the highs.

    Hugs! 💪

  • @seckorama(78)· 13d

Hm, huge increase... that's bad, but good for your decision to buy a flat :) Thanks for the reward!

  • @stresskiller(73)· 13d

A rent increase of 20% is criminal , here in Holland we renters are protected by a max raise each year . i think it was 4.5% max .
