Sometimes, the best part of a busy school day is not the end of the class or the moment we finally get to go home. Sometimes, it is simply having a good lunch, sitting somewhere comfortable, and simply just enjoying a little time for ourselves.
Let me share a little experience from earlier today. It was lunchtime, and instead of spending the break rushing through another meal, I decided to visit Farmside Bistro in Damilag, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Philippines.
So, today’s lunch break became a little food adventure for me! And honestly, I enjoyed every bit of it.
The moment I looked around Farmside Bistro, I noticed the warm and inviting atmosphere. The wooden furniture, colorful walls, and artistic coffee mural gave the place its own personality.
I particularly liked the giant coffee-cup artwork on the wall. It was such an eye-catching design! The combination of orange, brown, cream, and black made the space look warm and cozy. It had that relaxing café feeling without being too formal.
The wooden benches and tables also added to the charm. Everything looked simple but attractive, making it a nice place to sit down, enjoy a meal, and take a few photos.
I also appreciated the natural light coming through the windows. There is something about a place with a little sunlight, wooden furniture, and colorful artwork that makes a lunch break feel more enjoyable.
You know those places where you immediately want to take your phone out and start taking pictures? This was one of those places for me!
Before talking about the food, let me appreciate the entrance of Farmside Bistro.
The colorful mural caught my attention because of its bright blue background, flowers, leaves, and playful designs. The restaurant name was also beautifully displayed, making the entrance look cheerful and inviting.
I love seeing places that put effort into their surroundings. Even before tasting the food, the environment already contributes to the experience.
For me, dining out is not only about what is served on the plate. It is also about the atmosphere, the presentation, and how a place makes you feel while you are there.
And yes, I definitely had to take photos!
As someone who enjoys keeping little memories of everyday experiences, I like having pictures that remind me of places I have visited and food I have enjoyed. Sometimes, a simple photograph can bring back the feeling of a particular day.
Now, let’s get to the most exciting part!
My Cheesy Sausage Sandwich
For my first order, I had the Cheesy Sausage Sandwich, and this was definitely one of the highlights of my lunch.
Just look at that plate! The sandwich came with sausage, bread, fresh lettuce, tomato, potato wedges, and dipping sauce. The presentation alone made it look inviting.
What I liked was the combination of flavors and textures. The sausage was savory, while the bread made the sandwich satisfying. The fresh vegetables added a little freshness to every bite, and the potato wedges were a nice addition on the side.
I love meals that give you a combination of different textures instead of just one flavor throughout. Having the sandwich with potato wedges made the meal feel complete.
And the best part? It was really delicious!
This is the kind of food I would happily enjoy during a lunch break when I want something filling but still fun to eat.
Of course, I was not there just to admire the presentation. I came hungry, and the food did not disappoint!
Farmside Pork Steak
If you are a fan of pork dishes served with rice, this plate is definitely worth looking at. The pork was beautifully presented, sliced into pieces, and covered with a glossy sauce. It was served with steamed rice and a fresh garden salad.
The combination looked so good that I could not resist taking a photo before eating.
I liked how the plate brought together the savory pork, rice, and vegetables. The rice was a perfect partner for the saucy meat, while the salad added freshness and balance to the meal.
Sometimes, the simplest combinations are the most satisfying. Give me a delicious pork dish, a serving of rice, and a good sauce, and I am already happy!
What made the experience enjoyable was that the food looked appetizing and tasted just as good as it looked.
I always appreciate meals that make an ordinary lunch feel a little more special. There was nothing complicated about my order, but the flavors and presentation made it memorable.
If I had to describe this dish in a few words, I would say savory, satisfying, and delicious.
And yes, I enjoyed it! No regrets about ordering this one.
Chocolate Cake
After enjoying my savory meals, I also had a slice of chocolate cake.
Just look at that chocolate goodness! The cake had a rich, dark chocolate appearance, with layers that made it look extra tempting. Even the top had that beautiful, slightly cracked chocolate surface that catches your attention.
I am always happy to see chocolate cake on a dessert plate. It is one of those treats that can make an ordinary day feel a little sweeter.
After a busy morning at school, enjoying a slice of cake felt like a small reward and a little dessert to complete the meal. And sometimes, that is all we need.
The chocolate cake was the perfect finishing touch to my lunch at Farmside Bistro.
Looking back at the pictures I took, I realized that this lunch break was not just about eating.
It was also about taking a moment to appreciate the little things around me.
The colorful entrance, the artistic wall mural, the wooden tables, and the food all became part of today’s experience. These are simple things, but they are worth remembering.
We may live in different places, have different routines, and enjoy different cuisines, but we all know the feeling of discovering a good place to eat.
Sometimes, we find comfort in a home-made meal. Other times, we enjoy trying something new at a restaurant. And occasionally, we just want to treat ourselves to something delicious during a busy day.
For me, today’s visit to Farmside Bistro was one of those little moments worth sharing. Farmside Bistro was a lovely place to enjoy a meal during my school lunch break.
I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, appreciated the colorful interior and exterior designs, and, most importantly, loved the food I ordered.
Of course, everyone’s taste is different, and this post is simply about my own experience. I am sharing what I ordered, what I saw, and what I enjoyed during my visit. And honestly, I wanted to be back to try other menus.
If you happen to be around Damilag, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, and are looking for a place to enjoy a meal, you might want to add Farmside Bistro to your list of places to check out.
When was the last time you treated yourself to a delicious meal just because you deserved a little break?
Thank you for joining me on this little lunch date at Farmside Bistro! Until my next food trip and travels.
A good food, a cozy place, and a happy tummy. What more could I ask for?
