Estoy por acá sumándome al concurso de esta semana en Ladies of Hive. Quiero responder las preguntas que nos propuso nuestra querida @elizabethbit y aprovecho la oportunidad para invitar a mis compañeros @zhanavic69 y a @syllem.
Ahora si, voy a responder estas dos preguntas:
1️⃣ Si tuvieras tiempo y pudieras realizar un curso educativo sobre cualquier tema, ¿qué estudiarías y cómo utilizarías los conocimientos adquiridos?
Si pudiera elegir un curso para aprender algo completamente nuevo, sin duda me iría por la mecánica automotriz, abarcando desde lo más básico hasta lo más complejo.
El motivo principal es muy práctico: quiero saber defenderme si me quedo accidentada en la vía. No hay nada más fastidioso que quedar varada, tener que llamar a una grúa o cruzar los dedos para que alguien más resuelva un problema mecánico sencillo. Me frustra esa dependencia.

Now, I’m going to answer these two questions:
1️⃣ If you had the time and could take an educational course on any topic, what would you study, and how would you use the knowledge you gained?
If I could choose a course to learn something completely new, I’d definitely go with automotive mechanics, covering everything from the basics to the most complex topics.
The main reason is very practical: I want to know how to handle things on my own if I break down on the road. There’s nothing more annoying than getting stranded, having to call a tow truck, or crossing my fingers that someone else will fix a simple mechanical problem. That dependence frustrates me.
Utilizaría estos conocimientos para ganar autonomía. Quiero levantar el capó, entender qué pasa allí dentro. Más allá de conectar la batería, limpiar los bornes, colocar el refrigerante, medir el aceite o ver algún cablecito suelto y saber dónde conectarlo, quiero poder identificar de dónde viene una falla y tener la capacidad de resolverla por mí misma. O, por lo menos, saber exactamente de qué me hablan en el taller para que no intenten verme la cara.
Al final, se trata de quitarle el misterio a las máquinas y tener el control de esas situaciones cotidianas donde una suele sentirse más vulnerable.
I would use this knowledge to gain autonomy. I want to lift the hood and understand what's going on in there. Beyond connecting the battery, cleaning the terminals, adding coolant, checking the oil, or seeing a loose wire and knowing where to plug it in, I want to be able to figure out where a failure is coming from and be capable of fixing it myself. Or, at least, know exactly what they're talking about at the repair shop so they don't try to take advantage of me.
At the end of the day, it's about taking the mystery out of machines and having control over those everyday situations where a person usually feels most vulnerable.
2️⃣ ¿Cuál es tu color favorito? Describe cómo te hace sentir cuando lo ves o estás cerca de él.
Mi color favorito es el azul. Y no es que me gustan todos los tons de azul, no. Me gusta el azul rey. Y, curiosamente, aunque no es el tono que predomina en mi guardarropa, es el que más me gusta. Para mí, el azul es el color de la esperanza.
Lo cumbre es que, aunque casi no tengo ropa de ese tono y en mi armario predomina el negro porque cuando estaba gordita me hacía, o eso creía yo, lucir más delgada, el azul es el color que más me gusta.
2️⃣ What’s your favorite color? Describe how it makes you feel when you see it or are around it.
My favorite color is blue. And it’s not that I like all shades of blue, no. I like royal blue. And, interestingly, even though it’s not the predominant shade in my wardrobe, it’s the one I like best. For me, blue is the color of hope.
The funny thing is that, even though I hardly have any clothes in that shade and black dominates my closet, because when I was chubby it made me, or so I thought, look thinner, blue is the color I like best.

It’s like a breath of fresh air for my eyes. For example, at home, anything I can have in blue, I have in blue: my bedroom wall is blue, my dishware is white with little blue flowers, my bathrobe is blue, my silverware is blue, and my wine glasses are blue.
Vivimos en un ritmo donde todo corre y hay demasiado ruido visual, así que ver ese color me ayuda a desconectar del ajetreo diario y a despejar la cabeza.

We live at such a fast pace, with so much visual noise, so seeing that color helps me disconnect from the daily hustle and clear my head.
Blue has a clarity that conveys order, freshness, and a sense of relief when things get overwhelming. It’s not about any mystical connection; it’s simply that shade I instinctively turn to when I need to dial back the stress a couple of notches and find a little visual balance in the midst of my routine.
