Hey Guys what's up welcome back to my another battle of splinterlands. Today I got a match with the mana cap of 55 so it was quite a task to pick the right cards for the battle. I decided to go with fire element once again in order to use Jolius Blast since the card requires 13 mana and I don't get to use it that often. My rival for today was TESHAV and I didn't know if my deck would be enough to beat him. I've been winning quite a few matches so I was afraid that this time I would actually lose the battle. So let's see what happened in this match.

As I picked my summoner I have decided to go with Barthalamas and started picking my cards one by one. First, I picked Jolius Blast due to his 12 health and I thought that it would be enough to be in the first spot. The next card that I picked was Frankarsgard once again since I've been using this one quite often. Afterwards, I went for Chaos Furybringer for the third spot and then Vengeful Monk in the fourth. I also wanted to add Great Bear Druid since I've been including this card in my previous decks. Finally, I picked Ash Archer for the sixth spot. I had around 55 mana and I only spent 53 so I could've added two more cards to my deck but I have decided to leave it be.
When the battle has started I saw my rival's deck and I was a bit surprised to see that he didn't pick any of the cards that I usually use in my matches. The first card in his deck had 12 health which was the same amount of Jolius Blast's health. I thought that the battle would be a long one since both of our decks had a lot of health and also his deck consisted of some really powerful cards that I've never seen before. I was a bit afraid to even start this battle but I had to find out what was waiting for me in this match.
One of the things that I was afraid of was losing Jolius Blast early on in the battle due to the fact that I spent 13 mana on him. If he dies before dealing enough damage then the rest of my deck would have to do the job and I wasn't sure if they would be able to survive for long. Another thing that I was afraid of was Chaos Furybringer since I didn't use him that often and sometimes I pick random cards just to see if they would be strong enough to beat my rival's deck and this was one of those times. Since we were using standard rules there was nothing else to worry about and I could just watch the battle proceed.
After I've seen the final result of the battle I was shocked to see that I've actually won. I defeated TESHAV and got +40 rating points and 86 Glint for the win. My rating before this match was 520 and after the win it became 560 which I was quite satisfied with. At least my fire deck worked this time and I didn't waste 53 mana for nothing since I've managed to increase my rating. Right now I'm still in Division 8 so it's pretty much satisfying for me to gain rating points.
Looking into the future
I'm planning on playing with different elements since sometimes it's boring to play with the same ones over and over again. I've also realized that I keep picking the same cards over and over again and it's probably because those are the only ones that I feel comfortable with. I'm also planning on using Jolius Blast more often when there is a mana cap of over 50 since it's kind of a waste to spend 13 mana on a card when I can only use him once per match. All I want right now is to continue winning matches and increasing my rating but I'm hoping that I wouldn't lose all of those rating points in my next few matches. Let's see how far I can go this time.
