SPL Card values continue to rise [2026-10-01]

Howdy Folks!

It's been a couple weeks since I last posted. I decided to stay away from looking at the markets for brief while and come back to see what the results are. Today is that day. Lets check on a few assets and their USD value. The very first asset I looked at was Splinterland cards. I first created a post about such on September 5th called, SPL Card Value Slowly Rising | Hive Continues to impress | Keep Your Keeps Safe. A follow up to that post was created on September 9th titled, Splinterland card prices continue to increase in USD value. Both highlighted links are clickable. Put quickly, I noticed a near 15% increase in value within those combined posts. Upon checking again today (2026-10-01) I was pleasantly surprised to see the climb upwards has continued. Approximately 5% increase has been added to my collection value since that last follow up post. Please note that the collection I am calculating these numbers on is the @rentmoney collection that is mainly OG cards.

Dark Energy Crystals

One of the other markets I checked was DEC. Looks like it climbed to 50* cents per 1000 DEC. If I am not mistaken at one point DEC was in the low to mid 30 cent range. It's nice to see DEC is recovering some value. The good news is, if you are looking to purchase some DEC for your Splinterland needs 50 cents per 1000 DEC is still a great deal. How long will that deal last is anyone's guess. I dare not predict the DEC market. So far that is 2/2 markets that seen increase in asset value since I last checked. I was going stop there and call it a night. HOWEVER - I am a big fan of the CHAOS PACK market. Not that long ago I predicted 40 cents per pack.

50 Cents A Pack Here We Come

Take a look at that last screenshot. Chaos Legion packs are displayed at the bottom corner. What do you see? I know what I see. CHAOS Packs have officially reached the $0.40 cent per pack mark. At current time if you want to purchase a CHAOS Pack it is going to cost you $0.406 USD per pack and there is only 175 packs available at that low price. What is even more exciting is that there is roughly just 600 packs on the market before we see an increase to $0.45 USD. If only someone was telling you all this before the climb started (umm-cough-cough). The packs and market I am looking at are located on the official Splinterlands site. To get to the right section log in to Splinterlands -> hover to the top of the page --> find the icon named MARKET --> select PACKS out of the drop down menu ---> Boom you are in the pack section. It really is that easy. I like hoarding my CHAOS Packs but I am getting a sudden urge to open one so lets head to the MANA Well.

Pack Opening

Well look at that. I don't have any CHAOS packs located within my Splinterlands wallet. They are stashed away on TribalDex (Powered by Hive-Engine). Luckily I do have some Foundation packs. Lets open a few of them instead.

Concluding Thoughts

Pack one was the standard flip, 4 commons and one rare. Pack two not only gave us a GOLD card but it also gave us an Archon. For a two pack opening adding a gold card and a Archon to my collection is a win. I like getting wins so I'll refrain from opening any additional packs for today. Even more exciting than that is the DEC and Card Collection value increases. DEC recovering shows a healthy ecosystem. Card Pack USD worth increasing 20% in value over the past couple months on a collection that is mainly OG cards show there is still plenty of interests for OG cards. Which transitions into; there is still plenty of interest for all Splinterland cards. I can't help but think that these assets are going to do very well if Splinterlands was to see a sudden influx of players. It doesn't even have to be a sudden influx. A slow gradual influx will do it to. But that's it for now. I got some work to do in the brick and mortar world. This post contains affiliate links and contains no financial advice.
