Hive Power Up Day
Its here - the first of the month (Nov. 1st) - also known as HPUD. I tend to overlook more of these than I participate in but I had my eye on the calendar this month. It was easy to do so since Last night was Halloween (a fun time of the year). Looks like I have just over 600 liquid Hive Tokens in my Hive Wallet and they all will be getting powered up in just a moments time. I'll also be setting this post to 100% power-up. What is HPUD? Its short for Hive Power UP Day. A day that those who support the Hive Blockchain and Hive Token come together to turn some liquid Hive Tokens into Hive Power. A process that is easily done through our Hive Blockchain wallets. One doesn't have to wait until the 1st of the month to power-up some Hive Tokens. Any day is a good day to do such.
My New Total
With the above 639 Hive Token power-up my new Hive Power total is 30,323 Hive Power. Look at that - I past the 30K mark. Back when the Hive Token was peaking in USD value I thought this feet to be near impossible without some serious cash infusion. While 30K isn't much by whales standards it overall a decent amount. No-where near where I want to be or tend to be or will be but it will suffice for now. If I didn't fumble with the coin that is not to be named I'd have a decent chunk more. No point surging over spilled milk. I suppose getting to 40K will be my next new short term goal. Hitting 35K will be a nice benchmark for that goal. Lets see how long it takes.
CHAOS Packs
I have a small bag filled of these CHAOS packs. In-truth I should have a larger one if I heeded my own advice about their rising trade value. But as the saying goes, don't put all your eggs in one basket. I intend on using some of my CHAOS Packs to increase my Hive Power when the time is right. I highly suspect the USD trade value of the CHAOS Pack to increase while I suspect some continued correction for the Hive Token until its next run. The Hive Token had a very nice rally surpassing 0.05 USD per token. A correction is to be expected. For how long or to what point I have no clue. We might be at the bottom again. We might be in for further correction. Do your research, choose an action and hedge those bets. Getting back to CHAOS. Lets take a look at the current trade value of one CHAOS pack. 0.45 USD is the current rate of one CHAOS Pack. There is less than 800 packs on the market before we reach 0.50 USD per pack. New pack listings withstanding.
Halloween
Today isn't just any regular HPUD day but its also the day after Halloween. What a fun time of year. The excitement of Halloween does seem to be winding down compared to when I was a kid though. I don't see swarms of ghouls or packs of wolves or a fleet of the undead anymore. Kids seem to be less excited about Halloween in today's atmosphere than compared to the environment I remember as a kid. This year I was in a rural setting and had a total of exactly 0 goblins stop by for some candy. Something I was expecting - rural settings don't get the trick or treat crews. While the ghost and ghouls are the best thing about Halloween there is a nice close second event that happens on the day after Halloween. You guessed it, candy gets heavily discounted. I'll be headed into the big city limits in a day or two and if there is any left by that time I suppose I'll be picking up some much affordable bite size treats. Do you celebrate Halloween? What do you like the most about it? You doing a candy run for those 50% off Reese bars? What-ever the case might be sound off in the comment section below. We have come to the portion of the post where we like to thank you for spending some of your valuable time with us. Our next post will likely be more Splinterlands content. We also have one off blogs about food, affiliate marketing and other gaming ventures. See you at our next one and good luck out there on the battle-field of life.
