Hola! Espero que todos se encuentren en muy buen estado. Les voy a contar aquí lo que me ha costado hasta cierto punto en terminar este dibujo, pero antes les pondré en contexto. Hace varios días Facebook me enseñó un recuerdo y eso incluía un dibujo mio que había realizado en el año 2021 que fue Rogue versión humana; que es un personaje de la franquicia Sonic. Así que descargué el dibujo y lo guardé hasta motivarme en hacerle un redibujo.
Hi! I hope everyone is doing great. I’m going to tell you here about the challenges I faced in finishing this drawing, but first I’ll give you some context. A few days ago, Facebook showed me a memory, and it included a drawing I’d done back in 2021 of a human version of Rogue—a character from the Sonic franchise. So I downloaded the drawing and saved it until I felt motivated to redraw it.
Finalmente comencé a hacer el dibujo. Pero estaba empezando a tener algunos anti-bajos con ello, ya que tener la disciplina de terminar un dibujo en ese mismo día; no lo termino de hacer, más bien todo lo contrario me pongo a hacer otra cosa que continuar con un dibujo. Por ende no me fue sencillo terminarlo por la falta de disciplina que tengo.
I finally started working on the drawing. But I was starting to run into some setbacks with it, since I lacked the discipline to finish a drawing in a single day; I don’t actually finish it—quite the opposite, in fact—I end up doing something else instead of continuing with the drawing. As a result, it wasn’t easy for me to finish it because of my lack of discipline.
Cuando me logré concentrar un poco en un día, me di cuenta que el dibujo que estaba haciendo no era lo más apropiado, ya que me di cuenta de errores que fácilmente pude haberlo dejado así. Pero algo dentro de mi me decía que esto no era lo que realmente quería hacer. Uno de los errores son de que la cintura estaba muy rígida y las manos más bien fueron un copia y pega del original. Así que simplemente tuve que desecharlo y rehacer todo de nuevo.
When I finally managed to focus a little one day, I realized that the drawing I was working on wasn't quite right, since I noticed mistakes that I could easily have left as they were. But something inside me told me that this wasn't what I really wanted to do. One of the mistakes was that the waist was too stiff, and the hands were basically just a copy-and-paste of the original. So I simply had to scrap it and start all over again.
Luego de esto, fui poco a poco realizando el nuevo boceto para el personaje, de esta forma acomodando la cintura, las manos y agregando un poquito más de ropa en la parte de los senos, de esta forma dando una mejor visualización de lo que iba a ser los resultados finales.
After that, I gradually worked on the new sketch for the character, adjusting the waist and hands and adding a little more clothing around the bust area, which gave me a better idea of what the final result would look like.
Y les aseguro que esto fue como ir paso a paso; cada día era agregándole pequeños detalles y mejorando hasta que hoy me digné en por fin terminar de pintar todo y dar por finalizado mi nuevo dibujo.
And I can assure you that this was a step-by-step process; every day I added small details and made improvements until today, when I finally got around to finishing the painting and completing my new drawing.
Espero que les haya gustado mi nuevo dibujo, como he mencionado en mis post anteriores; ya no dibujo constantemente. Pero no quita el hecho de que me guste mucho y que le tengo mucho cariño al mundo del arte.
