Hi everyone, howâs it going? Things are going pretty well around here, thank God. This morning, after not seeing each other for quite a while, I met up with my friend Claudimar to catch up on our livesâitâs been a long time since we sat down to talk. Also, yesterday we had a very special visitor at home, and thankfully, thatâs been happening more often lately.
Iâm talking about my little cousins MarĂa, Victoria, Fabiana, and Fiorellaâall daughters of my cousins Maribel (the first two) and Faidelix (the last two). As for MarĂa and Victoria, theyâre from the island, although MarĂa studies in Caracas. The thing is, we live really far apart, and even though weâve been seeing each other a bit more often since they visited us last year and we keep in touch via WhatsApp, it had still been a few months since weâd last seen each other.
On the other hand, Fabiana and Fiorellaâwho, by the way, are twinsâlive in Caracas. Fiorella was at our house last December; in fact, I mentioned it in a post, but we hadnât seen Fabiana in nine years, so it was really special to have them both at home together, because ever since they were very little, my cousin would spend her vacations on the island, and theyâd split their time between my house and Maribelâs house. So we have a special place in our hearts for the girls (who arenât so little anymore), and we were more than happy to have them at home, even if it was just for a few hours.
Thanks to the islandâs intense heat, we settled into my momâs room to chat for hours. Iâll tell you, these girls seem to be competing to see who can talk the mostâbut the truth is, weâve got so many stories to share after not seeing each other for so long, and the hours just fly by as we jump from one story to the next, trying to catch up.
We had a delicious meal, drank some coffee, took tons of photos, hugged each other a lot, and the girls had a blast playing with the chickensâthey even took pictures of themselves with them.
Without a doubt, this visit was a real pick-me-up for the heart.
