My Life Shorts Contest #2: The thrill of having him by my side(eng-spn)

Hi, I'm still on Hive, but only occasionally, because I have to take care of my husband. I saw this initiative and today I'm coming to the Korean Village Community to participate in:

The Brightest Emotion

(#BrightestEmotion) and share my story about my absence from Hive.

Three months ago, I left with my husband, who had a very serious heart condition, for Colombia. In Venezuela, healthcare isn't guaranteed, and we have health insurance in Colombia, so we had to return. I packed my suitcase and went with my husband, taking all the risks because his health was very fragile.

image.png

It was a very stressful time because my husband could barely walk. Our children did everything they could to make us comfortable, and they were. Upon arriving safely in Colombia, we rested for only one night, and the next day we rushed him to the medical center, where he was hospitalized. He was hospitalized for almost two months, underwent three surgeries, and had a pacemaker implanted. He is currently doing well and recovering, and is taking his medication.

And in the video, you can see him walking calmly after having his pacemaker for two weeks. I was taking him to a doctor's appointment. We've been together for 45 years and we're through thick and thin. Sometimes we fight, but we love each other very much. We're waiting for him to be discharged and for the doctors to finish his tests so we can return to Venezuela.

I feel excited and happy because everything went well and his heart is functioning normally.
