Greetings, Splinterlands warriors!
This time, I’m back with another story from the Brawl arena with my guild, ClaNFT, right at the end of September. After sweeping all my battles in the previous Brawl with a perfect record of 8 wins and 0 losses, it seems luck decided to take a day off this time.
Out of 8 battles, I managed to contribute only 15 points to the guild. My record this time was 5 wins and 3 losses. Of those five victories, two were automatic wins because my opponents didn’t submit a team to the arena.
So, if I’m being honest, that clean sheet from the previous Brawl didn’t last very long. These three losses were a reminder that in Splinterlands, we can’t enjoy a winning streak for too long. Just when we start feeling like a champion, the next round comes along and tells us to sit down and take notes.
But I’m not too disappointed. After all, Brawl isn’t an arena where you’re expected to maintain a perfect record every time. Sometimes we get opponents whose strategies match up well against ours, while other times a formation we carefully planned simply doesn’t work out the way we expected.
And this time, the opposing guilds were indeed quite tough. Overall, ClaNFT had to settle for 2nd place.
For that placement, every member who participated fully received 2,600 Merits, while players with a Spellbook received 23,794 staked SPS.
For me, rewards like these are actually one of the reasons Brawl remains fun to participate in. It’s not just about winning, but also about slowly earning something from every battle.
Previously, I used some of my Merits to shop in the Guild Shop, so now I have to start collecting them all over again. The road to having enough Merits to open a Gladius Case is still quite a long one.
But I don’t really mind. If you keep doing something little by little, eventually it adds up. Besides, I still want to complete my collection of Gladius cards.
I think this is also one of the biggest benefits of joining a guild, especially for new players. Brawl gives us a regular gaming routine, teaches us how to deal with different strategies, and provides resources that can be used to develop our collections. We can also see how other players build their teams and learn from their mistakes without having to figure everything out on our own.
So, losing three times is no reason to stop. In fact, those losses show us that there are still strategies we need to learn.
I’ll keep following this routine: playing Brawl, collecting SPS and Merits, and continuing to enjoy the battles in the arena.
The journey toward completing my Gladiator collection is still a long one. But that’s what a journey is—what matters is that we keep moving forward.
