We're a bit early today when we visit the market, coz of that there's not much available fish in the market. We're early thats why its to expected. And the reason we went there earlier than our usual time was because mama needs to buy rice. You see, if its the kid who's managing the rice shop in the market where mama often buy rice, the price is 20 pesos only. But if its her granny, she sell it for 25. Mama can save a lot if its the kid who's in there. Not so sure why they sell that particular rice in different prices, lolol. Either way, its in favor for mamabels.
And because we couldn't buy fish for her pets, she had to go back there again hours after going back home. Thats 9:30 or 10 am. Mama left while i'm taking photos of the newly planted Aloe Vera on the Ground. Its Mommy D who planted them there. The pot where she planted them are overcrowded already, she had to give away some and replant the baby ones. She already gave some yesterday from this old lady, not sure if its a friend or a stranger. I didn't see her face but she's so grateful and happy. ♪ \(^ω^\ )
Also, I checked mama's kitchen and you can usually see some fruits in any table here just waiting to be eaten. Look, a malnourished papaya and an about to ripe atis. Not a fan of papaya, and I only eat At is when I feel like to...and today is not that time. Lol. Its sad though that we don't get much Atis on its tree now. But we're really grateful with what can get.
But this is the most exciting part guys, mama arrived home with an interesting thing on her hand. It looks weird but my curiosity's killing me to check them haha.
And tadaaaaaa!! It is actually a sweet, sweet, sweet merienda. And when I heard its name, my excitement intensify that I grab it to mama's hand to check and taste it. HAHAHA. I can't help it. Lol
Nyom, nyom, I FEEL GOOD ( /^ω^)/♪♪
Now, this precious sweets is actually called minatamis na remas or sweetened remas. Mama called it remas and it is known here with that name, but in some place it us called rema. Its english name is Breadfruit and I seriously missed this thing!
The first time I had Remas is also when I was a kid. It is mama who introduced it to me and it is the first and last time that I ate this thing which she also cooked that time. Seriously I enjoyed it a lot, I remember then how hesitant I was to eat it coz of its appearance. But when I tastes it, mannnnn, I LOVE THE TEXTURE! I compares it to a sweet potato, though there are part that are a bit hairy but it is easy to chew.
To be honest we saw a breadfruit during our walk here. Mama wants to buy that time but I think she find the price expensive. I am not sure how it looks like inside but I hope we see a fresh breadfruit in the Tiangge-an this Sunday. I asked Mama to cook it again, with sugar and coconut milk (✿^‿^). But I hope it is available this Sunday. Huhu. Hoping for it ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ. This merienda actually was cooked in sugar and coconut milk. I'm still craving for ir even right now ಠ◡ಠ
